The Chairman of Sombea Boxing 🥊 Club Mumbo Agali SimbaI sincerely extend our heartfelt appreciation to Glad’s House Kenya for organizing and facilitating the impactful 10-day training held at Magongo, Chagamwe Sub-County. This program was a great step in strengthening our strategic plan on capacity building for our technical team.

The training covered key areas including ILM classes, introduction to sports therapy, assisted stretching, mobility work, dynamic stretching, first aid, and essential life skills for boxing. These practical lessons have greatly enhanced our ability to train, mentor, and support young athletes effectively.

We especially appreciate our Head Coach Camlus Juma and Cynthia Sirikwa for making us proud through the successful completion of this course and for representing Sombea Boxing Club with excellence and dedication.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Fredrick Acholaa for making this opportunity possible and for his efforts in ensuring this important training became a reality. Through such partnerships, we are glad to state that Sombea Boxing Club shall continue strengthening its relationship with Havana Boxing Club for the growth and development of boxing at the grassroots and elite levels.

Today, the Chairman of Sombea Nakuru Inter-Clubs Mumbo Agali Simbaited to address YMCA members during the YMCA Nakuru members’ meeting. He spoke on the theme, “Empowering Young People for the African Renaissance,” emphasizing that YMCA stands for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

He highlighted that empowerment begins by understanding that one body has many parts, and true success comes through vision, discipline, education, mentorship, leadership, teamwork, and opportunity working together. He noted that no young person succeeds alone—parents, teachers, coaches, leaders, and communities all play a vital role.

Through sports, education, entrepreneurship, and strong values, youth are prepared to become responsible leaders and innovators. Africa’s future depends on empowered young people who can turn challenges into opportunities and drive the continent’s renaissance forward.
