In the early 1980’s the Driftwood Beach Club , a Hotel in Malindi donated the Driftwood trophy and asked for their long forgotten sevens tournament which was played in the colonial days in Malindi to be revived at Mombasa Sports Club. The Driftwood trophy , a piece of natural wood , exquisitely carved by the eternal forces of the oceans , has indeed found a permanent home and will continue give a

With just 5 Days to go,here is the Driftwood Sevens Division one pools:
The Driftwood Sevens, which will be hosted by Mombasa RFC at Mombasa Sports Club from 18th to 19th June 2022 has had it's pools announced.
The Christie Sevens Champions Strathmore Leos are in Pool A alongside Resolution Impala, Homeboyz Rugby and the hosts Mombasa RFC.
The Kabeberi Sevens and Christie Sevens runners up are in pool B where they will be facing Kabras Sugar Rugby Club, Daystar Falcons and Jumia Pay Pirates.
Pool C will have the Nakuru based clubs Nakuru Topfry and Menengai Oilers.Kenya Harlequins and Blak Blad will also feature in the same pool.
Western Bulls will play Mwamba Rugby Club, Nondies and Zetech University in pool D.
Driftwood Sevens Pools:
Pool A: Strathmore Leos, Resolution Impala, Homeboyz Rugby and Mombasa RFC.
Pool B: KCB Rugby Club, Kabras Sugar Rugby Club, Daystar Falcons and Jumia Pay Pirates.
