After 6.5 years, with a heavy heart Reform finally closes its doors today.

Thank you to our support team (both past and present): Agnes; Sarah; Grace; and our coaches (both past and present): Killy, Joel, David, Flevian and Sophie who have accompanied you on your fitness journeys. Without each of you, Reform would not have made it this far.

Reformers, it’s been an honor to witness your physical and mental progression over the years. Many of you recently took the time to email us recently to tell us the impact we made on your fitness journey - thank you for doing this 🙏

As a community, together we helped thousands of Kenyans (children, politically displaced persons, disabled men and women, and those affected by Covid) in Nairobi, Northern Kenya and Eldoret over the last 6.5 years thanks to our combined love for fitness. This is something we’ve taken great pride in as it was one of the central pillars of Reform’s commitment as a business when we opened our doors in 2015.

Although we close our doors in Kenya, Reform’s sister studio in Dubai, Chisel N Stride is open so if you are passing through Dubai please stop by and join us for a class.

Once you get in to a rhythm with your training, you may find you are hitting a plateau and not seeing as much improvement with your strength or cardio. When this happens you need to push it up a gear both on the bike and strength classes by increasing your resistance. Give it a try and let us know if you felt challenged!

We’ve got a slogan at Reform - REVIVE | TRAIN | REFORM. What do we mean by this?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t moved in a while, our role is to revive you physically by training you and reforming your mind and body. Over the years, we’ve coached many of you and been witness to many journeys. All we ask you to do is show up consistently and leave the rest to us!

Happy Monday Reformers! One of the biggest misconceptions about strength training is you need fancy, bulky equipment. The reality is you don’t and the key to strength training is to first master how to hold your own body weight in different positions. Here’s a side plank - let us know if you’ve managed to perfect this movement holding for 30 seconds

Happy Friday Reformers! Our tip of the week is this - when you are in a group fitness class try focus on your own body and listen to the signals it gives you particularly if you are fatiguing. Don’t let ego in the way and compete with the next Reformer on the bike if it doesn’t feel right. The Reform board isn’t about seeing who tops the board but to give you an idea on whether month to month you are improving. Do your thing!

Your body will go so far as you take it. You are limitless and you have to believe this for your body to respond. Next time you enter your Reform class or a virtual class say to yourself “I am limitless”

Welcome back from the holidays Reformers. As we start Chapter 5 of your fitness journey, we want you to focus on keeping the right level of resistance on your bike. This differs for each of you but the goal is always to try keep within our RPM ranges as announced by your cycling coach during the ride. If you can’t keep up with the RPM ⬇️ your resistance until you are in range. If you are higher in your RPM than what your coach asked you to be in then ⬆️ your resistance. The key is to stick within the RPM ranges. See you on the saddle and apply this approach

Today we say farewell to Carol and welcome Sarah at our front desk.

Carol has been a vital part of our admin team for the last 3 years. She was committed, reliable and dedicated to her job. Sadly, it’s time to say farewell. She will be missed!

Many of you know Sarah who has been with Reform in the evening shift. Sarah took maternity leave but is now back and ready to take over the morning shift from Carol.
