Happy to announce our swim club recognition with the Australian Gold Class Swimming training group.
We have gained a handful of qualifications through many professional development hours during the closure of pools here in Phnom Penh.
Gold class swimming isn't just a great training group for coaches but also parents as well. Please give them a look as we have found them a great online resource during these dryer times.

We hope everyone is staying safe and sane during these times and we are looking to starting lessons again as soon as possible with things looking like they are improving 🙂

A great weekend at the junior national swimming competition!
The 2021 Hem Thon National junior swimming championships at Olympic stadium showed great results for our performance squad team!
Out of 8 events we managed:
3x 🥇
2x 🥈
And every single swimmer got Personal bests on each swim.
Thanks for the parents for their ongoing support, to the officials, organizers and coach’s too.
And a big thank you to សហព័ន្ធខ្មែរកីឡាហែលទឹក Khmer Swimming Federation for putting it all together!
Recently we shared a video of Josef swimming across the pool all by himself. Only 2 weeks later he is showing great confidence and is progressing so fast - even showing side breathing with his freestyle arms!!

A good watch about swimminig intertwined with living abroad, the pandeic, mindset and family.
Just Keep Swimming: Ben Proud on Course for the Olympics Harder, better, faster, stronger.
Joesef is making great progress, in only a month or two he is now swimming 15-20 metres independently and with ease!!
Lachie showing off his balance and focus skills with this cup challange!
After an afternoon of practice himself, his brother and sister all made it the full pool length without spilling a drop
Go Remi Go!!
Here you can see how a simple drill can create a perfect streamline body position to move through water.
At the start of the video you can see a red sinky ball under Remi's chin. This creates a good awareness of his head and neck positioning to get in the most aquadynamic position.
This is a good one you can try at home using anything from spare goggles to your house keys.
Amazing stuff Remi keep up the speedy progress!

Treading water, level: EXPERT
Here you can see Ollie holding a kickboard above his head whilst treading water (he managed to do this for around 40 seconds!)
Instead of sculling water with his hands and using a bicycle kick to stay afloat he uses a technique called the ‘egg be**er kick.’
Simply enough to explain it is much harder to perform (especially for more than half a minute!!) but has great benefits as you can get your head and shoulders out of the water and have your hands free in case you feel like holding a kickboard up nice and high.
All you need to do is draw circles (parallel with the bottom of the pool) with your big toes continuously but at alternating times. Your Left Big toe should draw these circles in a clockwise motion whilst your Right one, in the Counter clockwise direction.
Next time you are in the pool, give this one a try and let us know how you go!
Amazing skills and even better that it involves chocolate milk!
