Today Sokim went to visit one of our new girls who has joined a work experience programme for the next year with Be Free. She will be working at Routine cafe, learning how to make and serve coffees and other drinks.

This coffee shop works alongside Elim Cambodia, so the girl will be taken care of and supported in her new role.

Just before Khmer New Year we had another Be Free graduation.

This time, 3 of our amazing girls graduated. We had a special time celebrating all of their achievements.

These graduation days are always so important as many people who have been involved in the girl’s life come together to celebrate her and the bright future that she has ahead.

We thank God for these 3 precious lives and we ask that you will continue to pray for them as they move onto the next stage of their journey.,❤️🎓

A special moment during one of our mornings this week at Be Free.

The girls who have been in the programme for a while, prayed for our 3 newest girls who just started in Be Free this week.

Everyone took time to share what they liked about Be Free and encouraged the new girls as they started their journey with us.

Congratulations to our beautiful Be Free girl who graduated last week. We thank God that she has finished her first year in the programme and now she will continue her second year gaining more experience working in the salon as she loves working there.

Over this last year, this special girl has changed her life so much. She came to know Jesus, got baptised, and she loves to learn and sing worship songs. Her family are also so proud of all she has achieved this year.

Please continue to pray for her life as she continues to learn, that she will stay close to God and keep growing more in her journey.

This week we have had an Aspire ladies team with us at Be Free Cambodia.

We have enjoyed the time we got to spend with these ladies and we are grateful for all that they did to bless our girls in the programme ❤️

We are so proud of our Be Free manager, Sokim.

This week she went to study more techniques for cutting different hairstyles in the salon.

After she completed the training, this is the beautiful haircut that she gave to one of our staff members.

In our Be Free programme, the girls have the opportunity to learn English on a weekly basis. This is a valuable skill for the girls to have as it can help with future education and work opportunities in Cambodia.

When the girls learn English, this also helps them as they continue studying the Khmer language. Some of our girls are continuing to learn how to read and write in Khmer which is extremely difficult. As they learn basic English words, the girls will then translate these words into Khmer and this helps them remember the word and it gives them more practice writing the Khmer alphabet.

Each one of our girls loves learning. Our teachers love seeing the confidence and joy that the girls feel in themselves as they commit to study hard and see the progress that they are making in their learning.
