🌟 DAILY ACTIVITY CHART FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM 🌟
Structure Today. Independence Tomorrow.
For many children with autism, knowing “what happens next” can make the day feel safer, calmer, and easier to understand. A structured daily routine is more than a schedule—it can become a powerful tool for building independence, communication, attention, self-regulation, and life skills.
Why Use a Daily Activity Chart?
A visual routine can help children:
👀 Understand expectations — see what activity comes next
🗣️ Develop communication — learn to request, choose, and express needs
🎯 Build attention — gradually increase participation in activities
🤝 Strengthen social skills — practice turn-taking and shared activities
🧼 Develop self-care — build routines such as dressing, eating, and hygiene
🌱 Increase independence — learn to complete tasks with less adult prompting
🧘 Support regulation — provide predictability and reduce uncertainty
💡 Remember: The goal is not to make every day perfectly predictable.
The goal is to help children understand their environment, participate meaningfully, and gradually become more independent.
🌈 TRY THIS AT HOME
Start with 3–5 simple activities your child already understands.
FIRST → THEN → NEXT → FINISHED
For example:
🍳 Breakfast
🪥 Brush Teeth
🎨 Learning/Play
🏃 Movement Activity
🛁 Bath Time
📖 Story Time
Celebrate every attempt—not just perfect completion. Progress happens through repetition, consistency, and meaningful connection.
✨ Small steps every day can lead to big achievements.
At Lumina Neuro Growth Center, we believe that every child can learn and grow when we meet them where they are, understand their needs, and provide the right support.
💙 Structure. Connection. Regulation. Learning. Independence.
