The world needs to know! In the morning of July 27, 2025, invading Thai forces continued their deliberate assault on the sacred Preah Vihear Temple by deploying heavy artillery and firing directly at the temple complex, resulting in extensive and irreparable damage to multiple sections.

We do not support aggression. We do not seek war.

We call for peaceful dialogue, for mediation, and for a legal resolution to our border dispute through the International Court of Justice, in accordance with international law. We continue to call for a ceasefire.

Any shots we fired were in direct response to an invasion—measures taken solely to protect our sovereignty and ensure the safety of our people. We do not initiate hostilities. We respond, as any responsible nation must, when our borders are violated and our citizens are placed in jeopardy.

We do not possess heavy weaponry, and we have no reason, no interest, and no intent to initiate conflict. Our actions have been defensive and restrained, rooted solely in the duty to safeguard our nation.

We are a smaller country. Our economy is still growing. We are healing from the scars of civil war. And because of this, we cherish peace deeply and celebrate it every single day. Across the country, banners bearing the words “Thank You, Peace” hang proudly—symbols of our national gratitude and our collective longing for harmony.

As a country that has endured great hardship, we hold peace and humanity as sacred values. In defending our sovereignty, we have upheld these values. We did not, and would never, target civilians, children, or hospitals—despite the circulation of harmful and misleading claims.

Cambodia stands united.

From civilians and government officials to diverse faiths and opposing political parties, we stand together in unwavering solidarity to protect our motherland.

The Cambodian people stand firmly with our government and our military, because we stand with the truth.

To our international friends, we ask you to hear our voice and see the truth. We may not be polished in global media strategy. But we do not twist facts. We do not play the victim. We speak plainly, from the bottom of our hearts.

We support our government. We support our military. We support humanity. Above all, we support one another—because we are like family. And in our hearts, we all long for peace.

This message is not about assigning blame.
It is about truth.
It is about compassion.
It is about integrity.
And it is a call for genuine commitment to real and lasting resolution.
