Angkor Yawara Dojo

One of the most meaningful parts of my judo journey Angkor Yawara Dojo is having the opportunity to bring judo to children and young people in rural areas.

For many of these children, this was the first time they had ever seen or experienced judo. They had never worn a judo gi, stepped onto a tatami, or learned the basic movements of this martial art.

Through this program, our goal is not only to teach judo techniques, but also to introduce values such as discipline, respect, confidence, teamwork, and perseverance. Seeing their excitement, curiosity, and willingness to learn reminds us why we love sharing judo with the community.

We believe judo should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live or their background. Bringing judo to rural communities gives children a chance to discover a new sport, develop themselves, and believe in their own potential.
