This even is quite high than the habitual Magnitude 4 in the surroundings in the last 2 years in Comoros; we should be aware of eventual seismic activities. No worries, we just inform
Hypothesis:
The approach of seismicity along the islands is that, the motion is moving from South-East/North-West Indian Ocean- Comoro-Islands upward, for the reasons that couple of years earthquakes were located in Anjouan Islands (2 earthquakes in almost 2 months in 2014), and now is moving along Gde Comore and Moheli

We may ignore but, there is an existing fault in the direction of South-East/North-West passing through the Islands, quite a moment, we knew about the volcanic aspect but no the existence of a fault. (The source) was released as the first edition, 2016 of the Seismotectonic Map of Africa (1:10 000 000 scale) a special version for the 35th International Geological Congress , 3 weeks before in Cape Town South Africa.
