After the Polish U18 National Championships Finals, I’m coming back with lots of thoughts and even more motivation.

It was great to watch the top 8 teams in the country live and discover new players I hadn’t seen before. Tournaments like this confirm how much potential there is in Polish youth volleyball. Congrats to SMS Police on winning both national titles, huge achievement 👏

Six years ago, hardly any players from Poland were taking advantage of the opportunities that college volleyball in the USA offers. Today, more and more athletes are ready for high-level NCAA Division I, while others are successfully combining volleyball and education on full scholarships across different divisions.

The USA pathway has become a very popular alternative, offering a high level of play (often comparable or better than Polish pro leagues) plus a valuable international education, something that’s still difficult to combine at a high level in Poland.

I’m really glad that more players trust us and choose this path, and that we’ve been able to raise awareness among young athletes about securing their future because sports careers often end sooner than expected.
