初めてラケットを握ったのは、5歳。

テニスで磨いたフットワークと判断力。
そして14歳で出会ったピックルボールが、もうひとつの夢を与えた。

その挑戦は、すでにアジアの舞台で結果へとつながっている。

2025年、アジアジュニア大会ではU-16シングルス・ダブルスを制覇。
さらにアジアツアーでも国際大会で着実に結果を残し、短期間でトップカテゴリーへと駆け上がった。

その快進撃は世界にも認められ、2026年6月30日、PPA Tourプロ契約を締結。

そして今。

地元・東京で開催された PPA Asia 500 Sansan Tokyo Open 2026。

15歳の佐脇京選手は、藤原里華選手とペアを組み、日本人ペアとして大会史上初となる女子ダブルス決勝進出を果たした。

15歳とベテラン。

年齢も、経験も、歩んできた時間も違うふたり。
それでもコートに立てば、呼吸は自然と重なっていく。

「相手に簡単に勝たせない選手になる。」

どんなボールにも最後まで食らいつき、一球一球にすべてを懸ける。

🇯🇵 Future Athlete Story｜Kei Sawaki

She first picked up a racquet at the age of five.

Through tennis, she built elite footwork, instincts, and match awareness.
At 14, she discovered pickleball—and with it, a second dream.

What began as curiosity has already become results on the Asian stage.

In 2025, she swept the U-16 singles and doubles titles at an Asian junior event.
Across Asian tour events, she continued to deliver strong international performances—quickly rising into top-level competition in a remarkably short time.

Her rapid ascent was soon recognized globally.

On June 30, 2026, she signed a professional contract with the PPA Tour.

And now.

At the PPA Asia 500 Sansan Tokyo Open 2026, held in her hometown of Tokyo, 15-year-old Kei Sawaki stepped onto court with Rika Fujiwara.

Together, they made history—becoming the first Japanese pair to reach the women’s doubles final in the tournament.

Fifteen years old and a veteran.

Different generations. Different experiences. Different timelines.

Now taking on the world’s best in pickleball.

NASA Hatakeyama never stops chasing the next challenge.

Born in Sapporo, Japan, NASA built an elite tennis career as a two-time Japan Junior Champion, High School Inter-High Runner-up, two-time Intercollegiate Champion at Keio University, and a two-time Shuzo Matsuoka Challenge selection.

He then rose to become one of Japan’s top padel players—captaining the Japan National Team, winning three Japan National Padel Championships, and earning selection for the 2026 Asian Games.

テニスで輝かしいキャリアを築いた吉冨愛子選手は、新たな夢を追い、ピックルボールの世界へ挑戦しました。

2025年4月、PPA Hong Kong Open 2025 ミックスダブルスで優勝。

オーストラリアのプロ選手、Robert Stirling選手とのペアで、PPAツアー初優勝。

そして2026年、日本人女性初となるPPA Tourプロ契約を締結。さらに、日本人女性初のMLPドラフト指名を受け、世界最高峰リーグへの挑戦が始まりました。

しかし、その道のりは決して順風満帆ではありませんでした。

約半年にわたり自分のプレーを見失いながらも、
一人でアメリカへ渡り、世界に挑み続けます。

さらに2026年6月2日には、わずか1日のうちに2度のトレードを経験。

環境が変わっても、チームが変わっても、彼女は前を向き、戦うことをやめませんでした。

先駆者は、自分だけのために戦わない。

全国でクリニックを開催し、SNSやYouTubeで技術を伝え、日本各地でピックルボールの魅力を広め続ける三好健太選手。

競技者としてだけでなく、日本のピックルボールを育てる存在として走り続けています。

テニスで全国優勝、全米オープンジュニア予選出場、インカレ準優勝など輝かしい実績を残し、新たな挑戦の舞台に選んだのがピックルボールでした。

2024年には、MLP Australiaでアジア人男子初のキャプテンに就任。活動拠点をアジアへ移し、各国を転戦しながらトレーニングと国際大会への挑戦を続けています。

2025年には、PPA Tour New Zealandで優勝。

そして2026年には、愛妻・吉冨愛子選手とともに日本人初となる夫婦でのPPA Tourプロ契約を締結しました。

さらに、PPA Asia 500 Beijing Openでは男子ダブルス決勝へ進出。同じ日、同じ会場では、アメリカから駆けつけた吉冨愛子選手も女子ダブルス決勝に進出。夫婦そろって決勝の舞台に立つという歴史的な瞬間を生み出しました。

惜しくもともに準優勝となりましたが、その戦いは日本のピックルボールが世界のトップレベルと互角に戦えることを証明しました。

Pioneers don’t compete only for themselves. They build the future.

Kenta Miyoshi is more than a professional athlete.

Through clinics across Japan and YouTube, he has helped grow pickleball while inspiring the next generation.

A former elite tennis player, Miyoshi transitioned to pickleball and quickly became one of Japan’s leading professionals.

In 2024, he became the first Asian male Team Captain in Major League Pickleball Australia and began competing full-time across Asia.

In 2025, he won the PPA Tour New Zealand title.

In 2026, he and his wife, Aiko Yosh*tomi, became the first Japanese married couple to sign with the PPA Tour.
Soon after, both reached the finals at the PPA Asia 500 Beijing Open, marking a historic milestone for Japanese pickleball.
