Papaya big day !

Papaya was castrated, same as our Gazpacho and Kalypso before him, on 26th of May 2026, as next month he turns one year old. He has already started showing interest in some of our mares, so castration is important to help manage his behavior and prevent unwanted breeding.

Benefits of castration for a young c**t like Papaya include:
-Reduced sexual and aggressive behavior
-Easier handling and training
-Safer around mares and other horses
-Prevents accidental breeding

Often allows more relaxed social interactions with herd mates, keep him healthy and happy boy for his beautiful life to come.

We thanks Nicola our vet and his team, from Luang Prabang Animal Hospital.

Tibetan singing bowl sessions for horses use gentle, resonant vibrations to reduce stress, anxiety, and physical tension by activating their parasympathetic nervous system.

The sound waves encourage deep relaxation, often causing horses to lick, chew, or fall asleep. You can spot it on this video.

This therapy is effective for calming nervous horses, supporting emotional healing, and aiding in recovery.

Thank you so much Happy Vivanh for this session.

Papaya is now 10 months and learning to be a big boy.

We have started desensitizing to the halter, the hoof picking, the hooves trimming and now saddle pad and saddle.

Of course we’re just doing it step by step mostly as a game and our sessions does not last more than 5 minutes.

He does not mind at all and he is very curious about all this material and equipment.

Doesn’t he look awesome with it’s turquoise color ?
