Beyond thrilled to share that Py Watashi has officially become the first Lao marathon runner to complete all 7 TCS World Marathon Majors, crossing the finish line at the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon in an incredible 03:29:49! ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐บ
It was an unforgettable day, but the road to the finish line demanded every last drop of energy. Looking at the course profile, the final stretch was a true battle of grit and endurance:
Km 34.0โ37.0: Rolling pushes through Oxford Street that continuously tested leg strength late in the race.
Km 38.0โ40.0: The return down Oxford Street gave a fast downhill (-3%) before heading into the brutal final climb at the Royal Botanic Gardens, averaging a +3% gradient right at the 40 km mark when legs were on fire.
Km 40.0โFinish: A steady 400 m downhill (-3%) towards the iconic Sydney Opera House forecourt provided the ultimate victory lap to secure the historic 7-star finish!
Massive congratulations on completing this historic milestone and proudly carrying the Lao flag across seven of the world's most iconic marathon courses! ๐๐
