Bringing the community together through sports: Vientiane's Rippa Rugby league. Tag Me in Laos is a new social Rippa Rugby (flag/tag rugby) league in Vientiane.
Rippa Rugby is a fast-paced game similar to rugby league with no contact and simplified rules that make it accessible to people of all ages. The purpose of this new group is to bring together people of different ages, genders, and backgrounds in the Vientiane community around social sports. The first tournament will be 20th September, and everyone is encouraged to join, regardless of experience. I

On July 16, five teams representing different offices and groups in Vientiane joined together for a fun of tag rugby for teambuilding with friends and colleagues and to raise money for the Vientiane Buffalos Rugby Club. Ajaans RFC (Vientiane College teachers), The Cowards (Vientiane College friends and former staff), The Elephants (Phu Bia/MMG and Lao Elephants Football Club), The Gutbusters (Milsearch), and the Yue Legends (Vientiane Buffalos) faced off in an afternoon of friendly competition. Congratulations to the winners of the tournament, The Elephants, and runners-up Yue Legends! A good day was had by all. Thank you to sponsors Vientiane College, Tyson Kitchen, and Billabong Sports Bar & Grill for providing prizes, and to the excellent venues, Spirit Soccer Field and O'Grady's Irish Pub and Restaurant.

Another great social tag rugby day at Spirit Soccer Field for the staff and scholarship students at Vientiane College, held on May 28th.
