Beirut Phoenicians participating team in the Unfil tag tournament in tyr 8-9-2023 led by vice chairman of Beirut Phoenicians club mohamad Berro. Although it was not our 1st team it was important to participate especially as it was a special invite to the club among 10 others Unfil teams and a team from the Lebanese Army. The team came 5th which was a good result as it was the 1st time these players played tag rugby . The team compromised of Beirut players of Lebanese and Palestinian origins. Thank you Rabie Masri chairman of Palestinian rugby for helping in the coaching and the well known Lebanese Baskball player Yasir Haj. Beirut win round 2 by beating jamhour ( winners of round 1) 26-0and Al Ray 22-15.
Round 3 will decide who will b the winner of the Phoenix Shield 10s competition . Beirut hope by winning this tournament it will put them back on a winning streak and avenge their last two cup defeats by Jamhour .
