More mobility at the Dental Medicine Faculty of the Lebanese University
On May 8, 2015, the Dental Medicine Faculty of the Lebanese University organized a reception to communicate on the hoist installed by arcenciel in August 2014; in the framework of the Convenio project for accessibility for pwd, funded by AECID
The Horsh Tabet building of this university includes clinics that provide free care for disabled or sick children. The elevator allows children with disabilities to access the first floor - dedicated to healthcare services - and therefore take advantage of this service.

Al Hussein Society/Jordan Center for Training and Inclusion, in cooperation with Hashemite University, has organized an international conference on “Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Adaptation and Accessibility “. The conferencewas held on Tuesday April 14th.2015 at the Hashemite University in Zarqa/Jordan with the following objectives:

1- Raising the awareness of communities on the importance of accessibility and environmental adaptations for PWDsin creating an inclusive society.
2- Disseminate the basic concepts of accessibility based on local& International standards.
3- Presenting distinguished experiences in adaptations and accessibility at the local and international levels.
4- Present latest studies in the field of accessibility by University professors.
This conference was held as partof regional development project activities that has been implemented by AHS in Zarqasince 2010 in cooperation with the Spanish government through FPSC. The project aims at providing models of accessible environment by adapting vital public premises. These premises included schools, health centers, university, governorate, directorate complex and vocational training centers both for females and males equally. Eventually we look forward to see Zarqa Friendly Environment for Persons with Disabilities.
The conference came with several recommendations the most important of all being is to hold similar conferences to interest of persons with disabilities on annual basis and in cooperation with local and international universities. Furthermore the University presidents announces that forty different actions will be taken in six month's period to improve the quality of life of students with disabilities inside the university campus.

Several governmental organization have participated in the conference and presented their achievements in environment adaptations such as :
1- The Higher Council for Persons with Disabilities
2- Greater Amman Municipality
3- Al Hussein Society
4- FPSC
In addition to that a Spanish organization called ONCE has participated through Skype.
Several universities have submitted scientific papers re accessibility and adaptations such as:
1- German Jordanian University
2- University of Jordan
3- Hashemite University
4- Jordan University for Science and Technology.

نظمت جمعية الحسين – مركز الأردن للتدريب والدمج الشامل وبالتعاون مع الجامعة الهاشمية مؤتمرا دوليا تحت عنوان حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة والتسهيلات البيئية وإمكانية الوصول يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 14/4/2015 بمقر الجامعة الهاشمية بالزرقاء وهدف المؤتمر الى الاتي:
1. استعراض أهمية موضوع التعديلات والتسهيلات البيئية وإمكانية الوصول في تسهيل حياة الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة.
2. استعراض التجارب الناجحة المطبقة ببلدنا بموضوع التسهيلات وإمكانية الوصول
3. استعراض تجارب دولية متميزة في مجال التسهيلات البيئية.
4. طرح دراسات وأوراق عمل علمية ذات علاقة بالموضوع.
وجاء عقد هذا المؤتمر ضمن أنشطة المشروع التنموي الذي تنفذه الجمعية منذ العام 2010بمحافظة الزرقاء بالتعاون مع الحكومة الاسبانية"Improvement of the Social Integration of Disabled Persons in the Middle East through accessibility. Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt , 4 years.والذي يستهدف اجراء تعديلات بعدد من المرافق الحكومية التي يرتادها الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بشكل يومي ليسهل استخدامها من قبلهم ولتصبح محافظة الزرقاء بيئة صديقة للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة.
شاركبفعاليات المؤتمر الدولي العديد من القطاعات الحكومية التي عرضت منجزاتها بمجال التعديلات البيئية وإمكانية الوصول وهي :
• المجلس الأعلى لشؤون الأشخاص المعوقين
• امانة عمان الكبرى
• الجامعة الأردنية
• الجامعة الهاشمية
• بالإضافة الى عرض منجزات جمعية الحسين ومنظمة FPSC .
كما تم تقديم اورق عمل علمية بمجال التعديلات البيئية وإمكانية الوصول من قبل الجامعات المحليةوهي :
• جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا
• الجامعة الألمانية الأردنية
• الجامعة الأردنية
• الجامعة الهاشمية
• بالإضافة الى ورقة عمل علمية عبر Skype قدمتها مؤسسة ONCE"ILUNION" من اسبانيا.
حضر جلسات المؤتمر العديد من الجهات والمنظمات والمؤسسات التي تعنى بقضايا الإعاقة بالأردن، بالإضافة الى المئات من طلبة الجامعة الهاشمية وأساتذة الجامعة الذين كانوا محور اهتمام هذا المؤتمر.
