September 2013 Lebanon’s “WE” MMA Academy has signed a contract of cooperation with the world renowned “Tristar Gym” – Canada, home to none other than current UFC champion Georges St-Pierre, Heavyweight Champ John Jones, and Lebanese Canadian UFC fighter John “The Bull” Makdessi...

Under this contract, the Academy will bear the name “Tristar Lebanon” and will follow its mother club in its various programs and curricula, giving members the chance to participate for free in training sessions and matches in Tristar Canada. The new gym will also be recruiting professional coaches who will be transferring their expertise to local players. This contract is considered as a major step in framing the sport of mixed martial arts and its development in the the Middle East and more precisly in Lebanon on a professional and advanced level. Among the 30 fighters at “Tristar Lebanon” are well recognized fighters on the local MMA scene such Georges Eid, Elie El Rayess, Sylvester Saba, Tarek Suleiman, Marc Tanios , Silvio Chiha, and Joeshwa Mortada. Located in Mtayleb Country Club, Tristar Lebanon is chaired by Head Coach Wissam Abi Nader, assisted by vice president Charbel Tanios, Nadeem Nassif secretary and assistant coach, Zahi Ephrem consultant, Ali Awarka wresting coach , Ricardo Rubiz Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Elie el Rayess Sanda coach. At WE ACADEMY we teach the student to understand body mechanics, leverage and concepts that enable the student to understand the techniques they learn and keep them for life. They will also learn to work hard and will understand that hard work leads to accomplishing goals. Goals that our qualified trainers will guide you to reach, every step of the way. The student will develop a mental and physical toughness that will be with them when they need it, for life. Every body’s physical attributes are different. We will help the student build their own self defense / offense / fighting system to compliment their own physical attributes. We take all the fluff out of the Martial Arts. Our no nonsense approach to the Martial Arts will help the student develop true skills that really work when they need them. Our students gain REAL confidence and understand the skills that they have and respect the skills of others. That respect will carry over in everyday life. We all train as a team and accomplish our goals together. Our attitude is to leave the ego at the front door before entering, and train with us in a friendly atmosphere.
