On Sunday the 24th of April 2022, the National Equine Welfare and Sporting Association held its annual general meeting and elections in Vieux Fort.

As seen in the picture, from left to right, back row, Josh De Freitas - Second Vice President, Jeshurun Andrew - President, Eutyran Paul - Trustee, Ernie Zilta - First Vice President, Didymus Dupre - Chief Club Officer, Kerman Clarke - Executive Assistant.

Front row, left to right, Marlan Biscette - Treasurer, Lindberg Elva - Trustee.

Present virtually, Cassian Henry - Secretary and Kervin Lucien - Public Relations Officer.

Serving as returning officer to oversee and conduct the proceedings was Miss Raejean Montoute, President of the Gros-Islet North Youth and Sports Council and St. Lucia's current female CARICOM youth ambassador.

Members were able to have open and productive discourse surrounding plans on the way foward for the organization. Announcements detailing such plans will be aired as soon as they are completed and fine-tuned by the new executive.

We look forward to working towards the further development of the equine industry in Saint Lucia.
