Cressland Athletics is a socially minded, privately owned and operated training facility in Soufriere, St Lucia that was conceptualized by Yasha Troubetzkoy, Kimberte William, and Bradley Joseph, three classmates from university and childhood friends. It consists of a full sized Futsal playing field (which can be used as two smaller Futsal Fields simultaneously) and four cricket practice nets. Its
goal is to transform the naturally talented local athletes into disciplined players capable of playing at a professional and national level. This will be achieved by hosting regular competitive football and cricket tournaments, as well as organizing training sessions and gym meets. A part-time referee and coach will also be hired and made available daily to train players and referee matches so every game played on our facility is a competitive one. Cressland Athletics will generate revenue through equipment rentals and hosting regular tournaments. Short Term Goals
A Coach/Referee will be provided daily to train players and referee all matches so every game played is in a competitive atmosphere. Several days a week open access training sessions will be made provided to youth players on a first come, first served basis. Weekly tournaments will be organized with a focus promoting youth development. Every month an island-wide tournament will be hosted so the players have a chance to proved themselves against a wide range of opponents. Equipment will be made available for rental so even those with no equipment will be able to train, low-income players will be given special dispensation so they can also train. Bookable practice areas will be made available to anyone wanting to train with their organized group. Cameras will be set up to enable a live broadcast of matches and tournaments. Crossland Athletics will work with players and teams to create video content to promote the players and facility including highlights of matches, and skills shows. Long Term Goals
Build relationships with international talent agencies and scouts and invite them to St Lucia regularly to analyze and recruit players. Build relationships with experienced coaches and teams and invite them to St Lucia to train both coaches and players.
