It’s the first Father’s Day without my dad, who passed in March after 14 years battling Parkinson’s Disease. I’m so grateful for the time we had & for the memories we shared over the last few years. He reminded me of what was most important. Being present, being patient, and passing on joy to the next generation. He was a local legend on the mound as a softball pitcher & a solid power hitter as well. He coached my brothers & I, as well as many of our friends, in Little League & I’m proud to carry on that legacy of coaching. Passing the ball on to the next group of athletes. Advice he’d give every kid in town - Get good grades, participate in sports. Don’t drink. Don’t smoke. Say No to drugs. These are keys to success & longevity in your future - Miss you Padre! Happy Father’s Day!

Haha it got a little spicy when the AR flagged for a PK from across field & the ref was letting it go because my player went for the flop on minimal contact like I’ve been asking for. GK did well to make the save & that’s karma or the soccer gods aligning the universe. We fought back & got one, but it ended 1-2. Glad to see the grit.
