What a full-circle moment!

Getting my hands on the Cosmopolitan Reinvention Edition and being part of its incredible launch was an absolute joy!

From seeing Umaria Sinhawansa grace the cover (what a power move!) to flipping through pages filled with iconic personalities, beauty inspo, and pure nostalgia… I was instantly transported back to those teen days of collecting posters and celeb clippings.

The launch event? A whole vibe. Surrounded by bold, ambitious, passionate women each redefining what reinvention means in their own way.

Major kudos to the Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka team for curating something so fresh, empowering, and full of energy. Here’s to more fearless stories and fierce covers!

It was an emotional yet proud moment to be part of the launch of a new “Child-Friendly Space” by .sl (CPF), This new centre is a sanctuary for children to feel protected, heard, and supported.

skorala and her team at CPF do inspirational work for the safety, security and the rights of children across Sri Lanka.

In a country where over 9,400 child abuse cases were reported in 2023 alone, this milestone couldn’t be more urgent or meaningful.

The launch was graced by: Hon. Justice Shirani Thilakawardena, US Dept. of Justice representatives, Chairperson of Aitken Spence, Ms. Stashani, Juvenile court magistrates, Clergy, Professors from Harvard and many other lawyers and dignitaries.

Honoured to have been part of this step forward. Let’s keep working to ensure every child grows up in a protected environment.

I had such a wonderful time being the Keynote Speaker at the KDU Toastmasters Club’s 13th installation ceremony.

The room was full of bright, energetic youth brimming with talent and potential. I was happy to share a few thoughts on a simple but powerful part of leadership - “Caring for and Empathizing with your team”.

I’m truly grateful for the chance to spend the evening with these amazing undergrads who are all set to take on the world.

I’m honored to have been appointed as the 11th President of Pinnacle Advanced Toastmasters; Sri Lanka’s very first Advanced Toastmasters Club.

I stepped into the role in July and these past few months have been incredibly rewarding. Leading a club of passionate, accomplished professionals is a true privilege.

A heartfelt thanks to and the nominations committee for trusting me with this responsibility, and to my amazing Executive Committee, your dedication and energy over the past three months have been nothing short of inspiring.

It was truly an honor to be invited as the keynote speaker for the Division A and E Conference on March 23rd.

I truly hope my keynote on “how to Influence and create an Impact with the power of your voice” resonated with the audience and added some insight.

I’m incredibly grateful to have emerged as second runner-up at the Division G International Speech Contest, representing .advanced Toastmasters Club. I thoroughly enjoyed the process and learned so much from my fellow contestants. It was a fierce contest, with each speech delivering powerful messages, a truly rewarding experience.

Kudos to all the participants for bringing such high-quality speeches to the table. Congratulations to Michelle and Kalpana on the victory.

It was a true honor to be invited once again to the Open House hosted by TMC. The warmth, enthusiasm, and commitment of everyone involved made the experience unforgettable. I sincerely appreciate the flawless organization and the genuine hospitality that made me feel so welcomed. Thank you for creating such a remarkable event!

Grateful and honored to have been the keynote speaker at a remarkable Women’s Day program organized by Parenthood Global. I made my keynote an interactive experience filled with engaging demonstrations on lifelong learning, the power of the right circle, and the transformative impact of constructive feedback.

Beyond sharing my own insights, I was deeply inspired by the thought-provoking ideas of my fellow speakers—Lilly O’Scanaill Sashi Schaffter, Indresh Fernando and Shehara De Silva—each of whom left an indelible mark on the audience. It was a day well spent, surrounded by ambitious, fearless women who are making waves in their communities and beyond.
