MOST RENOWNED CHESS PERSONALITY – A ONCE IN A LIFETIME AWARD was received by our very own President of the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club, MRS SUNEETHA WIJESURIYA!

This prestigious award was presented at the Inaugural Sri Lanka National Chess Excellency Awards 2025” organized by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka.

The Anatoly Karpov Chess Club Family would like to congratulate Mrs Suneetha on this amazing achievement, you truly deserve it!

It’s always pleasure to witnesses the supportive parents, thank you dear parents for all the support, strength and courage you give your little chess champs, it keeps us, the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club empowered!

The Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian House in Colombo hosted its Annual Members’ Chess tournament for the 27th consecutive year with a record of 95 students playing the game at the same time under one roof across five age groups! 🥳
