A decade ago we opened our doors with one simple goal to make cycling easier for everyone who walked in, whether that meant a quick tune-up or building a bike from the ground up. Along the way, we’ve tried to raise the bar for what bicycle servicing looks like in Sri Lanka, and we’re proud of the technicians who’ve come through our workshop and are now out there doing great work in the field themselves.

To mark the milestone, we got a little lucky too. Park Tool auctioned off 50 numbered 50th Anniversary TS-2.50 truing stands worldwide, and we ended up walking away with stand no. 1 🤠…, the very first one. We’ve relied on Park Tool since 2012, so having this piece of their history land on our wall right on our own 10 year anniversary felt like more than coincidence.

This gold edition isn’t just going up for display 🤠it’s going straight into daily use, truing wheels for the same riders and racers who’ve trusted us for a decade. Proceeds from the auction goes to the International Mountain Bicycling Association, IMBA (U.S.) so it’s helping trails too.

Here’s to the next ten and to everyone, on our team and beyond, who’s been part of this journey with us.

This Merida Speeder 300 came into Cyclalogy for a full transformation, and we didn’t hold back. Starting with the bare alloy frame, we laid down a hand-flaked gold bling finish over the factory paint, then sealed it under a high-gloss clear coat for that showroom shine that catches light from every angle.

But this wasn’t just a paint job. We stripped it down and rebuilt where it mattered, fresh drivetrain components, new tyres front and back, and a full mechanical once-over so it rides as good as it looks.

From bare aluminium to a one-off gold flake stunner. This is what “we make cycling easy” looks like when we get creative. 🛠️🚴‍♂️

The Raleigh Chopper, Bringing a Legend Back to Life 🚲

Some bikes don’t need a full restoration. They need respect.

This original English Raleigh Chopper came to us with its story intact, original paint, original decals, original patina. The customer’s brief was simple: bring it back to working order, keep it exactly as it is. No repaints, no swapped parts, no shortcuts that erase forty+ years of character.

We serviced the drivetrain, cleaned up the cabling, and got the 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub running smooth and true. still shifting the way it did when it left Nottingham. The chrome, the maroon paintwork, the “Chopper” script -all original, all preserved.

Not every bike needs to look new. Some just need to work like they used to.

TUBELESS SEALANT 101

Ever wondered what’s sloshing around inside a tubeless tyre? 🤔

Most bicycle tubeless sealants are made from:
• Natural or synthetic latex
• Sealing particles (fibres or crystals)
• Water and additives to keep everything flowing

Its job? Seal punctures instantly and keep you riding without reaching for a tube.

Popular sealant brands:
• Stan’s NoTubes
• Orange Seal
• Peaty’s
• Muc-Off
• Silca
• Finish Line

How long does it last?
⏳ Typically 2–6 months depending on climate, tyre type and riding conditions. In Sri Lanka’s heat, regular checks are recommended.

Tubeless valve types:
🔹 Presta (most common on road, gravel & MTB)
🔹 Schrader (car-style valve, common on commuters and some e-bikes)
🔹 Dunlop (less common)

💡 Pro Tip:
