Chathra Weeraman is a filmmaker with over a decade of experience in both the creative and technical aspects of storytelling. Beginning his career as a CG artist, he soon transitioned into on-set VFX supervision, contributing to numerous film productions before moving into directing.
His directorial debut, Aloko Udapadi, a historical biopic that resonated with audiences and critics alike, marked a pivotal moment in his career. His second feature film, AYU, was released in 2025 and received widespread critical acclaim.
