Dear Bjorn & Everyone,
We're very disappointed to witness Mr Sheran's reply (Attached : “Responses to the complaint.pdf”) which has no relation and mostly with untruthful reasoning for the points in the email we have mentioned. Especially when the facts being given by him for 1-5 sections;
• In reality Mr Sheran is referring some other Rasika who is not myself in Heshan Flexe club. In fact this is Mr Rasika Milroy in R&V team itself who had made this request to Mr Sheran asking to play the matches on weekdays; and not me who is Rasika from Heshan club
• This misunderstanding of Mr Sheran is extremely unacceptable and we consider this as a major lie created by him against us
• Please refer the list of Heshan Club's current team in this tournament where we do not have any player who plays for any mercantile (A-division) tournament
• Please refer the current RnV team representing this LMS tournament which seems to be having a few players into mercantile(A-division) matches (which relates to be happening this weekend, as per Mr Sheran's email)
• We always wanted to play the matched during the weekend, not on Friday (or any other weekdays)
• We have written proofs (presentable on request) which the LMS administration has sent us asking to confirm to play the quarter-final match on Friday(15th September) or any other weekday instead of the Weekend (16th, 17th September), which is not acceptable
• We fully and completely reject all the incorrect reasons given by. Mr Sheran against us, merely his reasoning is fully against what the administration has done with this regards (Refer our previous email for more info)
• PS : About 05 September 2017, it is a public holiday in SriLanka and therefore we consider it’s a fair request asking the teams to play in a public holiday where no one is working
Regarding the reasoning for 6-9, I would like to to let this audience know that,
• During all the LMS tournaments that we had so far, there were no such restriction as to pay the entry-fees before the tournament’s final day and it was a well-known fact. (Pleas kindly inquire about this from Mr. Yasiru Warnakulasooriya who had been closely working with every team on this during past tournaments)
• This time too there were no mention about a formal/special request asking to make the payments before a cut-off time/date
• It was only after a mutual agreement we provided the Post -Dated cheques to Mr Sheran as the entry-fees; there was absolutely no formal or informal notice we had about a cut-off day, before which the teams should have paid this (If had been so, there is no reason that we won't pay before the date). Also, we noted that even during the tournament on-going more teams tried to be on-boarded by the administration
• It was absolutely unacceptable and inconvenient as a team to believe (or to arrange the payment for the second time) after Mr Sheran sending us a message at 9.52 PM, 12th September asking to make a deposit as the entry-free (instead of the cheques) before 10.00AM which is next morning, 13th September, whereas there was no mention about entry-fees at all by any means before this occasion in this tournament
• According to Mr Sheran's email If the entry-fees are to be paid before the date where the final match (24th September) of the tournament is to be conducted, one of the major and critical concern that we have is, that, why Mr Sheran asked us to make the payment in a random day which is the next morning with just one night's notice? This is not acceptable and matching by all means
• On the other hand, during this same time (while our cheques being collected) as our previous email denotes, our players have been continuously asked to pay the quarter-final match on the Friday (or Monday; Not the agreed weekend) by Mr Sheran which we rejected, which eventually we think caused us to be disqualified by the administration though they are emending some other reason related to entry-fees which is invalid and not relevant at all.
• It's not possible to understand these untold, untruthful and mismatching facts will lead to disqualify a team by the administration of the tournament, which we think we do not deserve for
There is absolutely no issue for Heshan Club about the jerseys this time for which we have already made the payments. We would like to remind during the 2nd LMS tournament (where Josh was also in Sri Lanka), where our team was given 8 jerseys by Sheran which Mr Sheran requested to return back after the tournament which we couldn't as it was too late after the tournament was over. Then, the administration had reduced the price of these jerseys by the final price money which we had to be presented as Champions (which we got after a long while the tournament was over). So, we had only the remaining amount in that year. We do not regret at all due to these actions, but brings a disappointment.
To let you know that we at Heshan Flexe's have been playing Cricket by our hearts representing our cooperation as a non-profit activity and has been no intention to gain any money or financial input to us through cricket. Same did stand for LMS tournament as well. It was just that we all decided no point of bearing up all the misconducts and favorations happening during this tournament and look for a justice to our team.
Finally, we have seen so many other corruption (or related) too in the LMS administration such as,
• Having the players who play the tournament and officially disqualified players in the administrative committee as its members, etc, which brings overall trust down about the tournament by its teams
• Compromising the confidence we have had towards LMS committee without all the original members in it other than Mr Sheran (within less than one year)
• Changing the quarter-final schedule very rapidly for 3 times, once even after we’ve sent you all our first email (Ex : Please check the attachments herewith)
Last by not least, Please note that it was originally said that these quarter-finals could not be facilitated during this weekend and made our team disqualified as we didn't agree, and now we heard that all these matches being played during the weekend without any issue. How is this possible?
Please also note that, we still haven't got any responsible response for our concerns or a justification by a responsible party. We would like to ask for official actions with this regard as soon as possible; upon failing we will do further continue the legal actions being carried out at our end for all the concerns we have presented to this audience with evidences.
Thanking you all of you.

Regarding LMS tournament in Sri Lanka – 2017
Hi Wayne,
How are you doing? Hope things are as great with you as always. This letter is regarding the LMS tournament in progress in Sri Lanka currently.
We, “Heshan Flexe”, the sports club who has been the champions of all 3 tournaments held in Sri Lanka being unbeaten of 20 matches over 21 (1 tied). Further, we were holding the main sponsorship of the tournament for past these 3 continuously, in addition to all entry fees of the tournament paid.
Although we all enjoyed the tournaments before very much, it’s with a great regret to write this letter informing about the some of the major misconducts in the tournament this time. We are very responsibly presenting all the maters below with this regard with proofs to be issued on demand.
Unofficial and wrong decisions, unacceptable misconducts and proof-less rigid actions of the organizing committee have mainly caused for all following complains.
• It was very clear to everyone about the issues had in the match-draw such as having the dates/venues of most of our matches changed unexpectedly and last moments most of the times (There were several occasions that our team had to move to a different venue during the morning of the match day, as the venue had been changed without informing us)
• Some teams had to wait without a match though we were present before the scheduled time on the ground, had to wait for long without a match and ended up playing less-over matches (10 overs) finally, which is totally unexpected and this happened to our team during deciding 2 out of 4 matches in the first round
• There were many occasions where (online) score recording was not conducted in a proper manner mainly the mobile phones and their data services were unavailable due to which there were several issues in the scores as well as in the final point tables. It seemed to be this is mainly due to selecting people who didn’t have a proper knowledge of using the online system and the fact that the committee was not responsible for this. For example, after the 4 first round matches, we had only 30 points for your team which was wrong and then it was made into 34 (which was the correct number of points) after we made a complain on this
• It seemed to be that the entry-fees for the tournament this times had been different from team to team due to unknown/unexplained reasons. This may be to convince to impress outsiders on higher number of participant teams of the tournament as we think
• By the vision of the LMS tournament which is mostly presented for Amateur cricketers. Although it was not happening on past tournaments, seen that some of well-known 1st class cricketers had been playing many matches time. Seems to be the tournament is getting deviated from the original objectives as we think.
We had already informed about all of these misconducts of the officials to Mr. Sheran Fernando and it was reasoned by the fact of changes in the administration. Though we reiterated that reasons like that should not compromise the tournament, there has not been a positive response for this yet. For example, the selected 8 teams after the first round were not correct due the erroneous point table and we had to made complains and to fight for the correct teams to be passed into the first 8 teams, which happened eventually.
With this regards, let us bring the final concern we have as a team/sports club as follows.
Based on the oriental quarter-final fixtures all matches had the venue of 17th September, in which our Heshan Flexe – A team to be competing with R&V Group team.
1. But unfortunately, we were unexpectedly asked to play this match on Friday, the 15th with no reasons explained. Annex-1
2. As we were not ready for this at this day and it is to be a week-day, we gracefully rejected this request.
3. It heard that this R&V team is consisted of 6 1st class players who have planned matches in a mercantile tournament including 17th and the unfair change of the venue is due to that reason as we suspect.
4. Because, even Mr. Sheran Fernando had contacted our captain (Mr. Buddhika Prasad) and a player (Mr. Nimesh Perera, Annex-2) and requested to play this match on 15th or any other possible week day due to exact reason about 1st class players above, which they had denied.
5. But our team was continuously requested with the change in the venue of this match further, even offering of an arrange a paid half-day in lieu if playing the match on a week day
6. Meanwhile, it was informed that they will come to collect the entry fee of our on 12th of September. Annex-3
7. One Mr. Prabhath, an country manager (A player of Nawaloka team) collected the relevant postdated cheques (as described and agreed to Mr Sheran) at 20.15 on 12th September
8. Same day later, We received a message from Mr Sheran (Annex – 4) asking to make the payment by cache by next day morning. This was very unexpected request as we had already agreed on making the payments as mentioned in 7) above
9. 10.40AM, 13th September (Annex-5) we are receiving another message from Mr. Sheran mentioning that our team, Heshan Flexe has been disqualified from the LMS tournament this year extremely unexpectedly
10. According to all these details and conversations, we have fair reasons to believe that us being disqualified is merely because we rejected playing the quarter-final match on 15th or a week day as they initially suggested
We would kindly requesting you to refer the Annexed attachments as proofs of this scenario and even be ready for any further explanations if required.
We have been heavily disappointed on what has happened to us without a real reason, and favorations within this LMS tournament. As the team/sports club who had been the main sponsor and the champion of all past tournaments we believe it has been extremely unfair for us to face this incident.
Please be kind enough to consider all these concerns seriously and we strongly believe you would take immediate actions to evaluate for the continuous fairness for us (and all similar other teams) within LMS rules and regulations in this year. It’s very sad to witness the good image of LMS is getting polluted due to the unwanted corruptions of the administration like this and we would expect your soonest attention for our justice.
We are really looking forward your response before our next match which has been scheduled and hoping and waiting for that before moving forward for any further actions with this regards,
Yours faithfully,
