Today, we were truly blessed to welcome Fumiko Noguchi back to the mat after her visit three years ago. It was also a wonderful privilege to reconnect, having previously trained together during the IAF Summit, seminar, and at the Hombu Dojo in Japan.

Aikido brings people together through mutual respect, friendship, and a shared journey of learning. Thank you for taking the time to travel from Colombo to train with us at the Nugegoda Dojo. It was an honour to share the mat with you once again, and we look forward to meeting and training together again in the near future. Until then, take care and may your Aikido journey continue to be blessed.

Honored to take part in Facets of Japan on July 18th at Sasakawa Hall! 🥋🇯🇵
We had the privilege of demonstrating Aikido in front of the Ambassador of Japan, his wife, and a distinguished delegation of Japanese diplomats.
From our youngest kids to our senior black belts, the team put on an incredible showcase that left the crowd thoroughly impressed. The Q&A session that followed was a fantastic opportunity to share the true heart, philosophy, and spirit of Aikido with everyone present.
A huge thank you to the organizers and everyone who came out to support! 🙏🏽✨

✨ Precision meets power. ✨
There is a unique beauty when watching ladies in Aikido execute Ikkyo (the first control technique). It is not about matching raw muscle against muscle; it’s about redirection, timing, and flawless structure.
🥋 The dynamic dual nature of Ikkyo:
Omote (Front): Direct and assertive. You step forward, entering directly into the attacker’s line to neutralize the threat before it even gains momentum.
Ura (Rear): Fluid and blending. You pivot and turn, using a circular movement to let the attacker's own energy spin them off balance and straight down to the mat.
True martial arts mastery doesn't require being the biggest person in the room—just the one who knows how to control the center.
