CDCA Division 3 Tournament – Match 1
AWCC started their campaign with a strong performance, securing a 4 wicket win with a bonus point in their opening match at Taxila Grounds.

Winning the toss, we elected to ball first. Ratmalana CC got off to a solid start and posted 233 all out in 44 overs. Our skipper, Lahiru Thilakarathne, led the bowling attack impressively, claiming 3 wickets.

In reply, AWCC began the chase with a mammoth opening partnership. Nimesh Jayalath and Amishka Waduge put on a brilliant 143 run stand for the first wicket, setting the tone for the innings. The middle order then took calculated risk during the 30/40 overs phase to push for the bonus point.

Nimesh Jayalath remained unbeaten on 92, finishing the match in style with a powerful slog to seal our first win of the tournament. He was deservedly named Man of the Match for his outstanding batting on a dry surface.

AWCC Won Both T20 Matches against team 99X Yesterday! 😍

While Batting first in the First match, Pathum Dissanayaka Blasted 31 from just 10 Balls! 😍

While Bowling second in the First match, Captain Praneeth Fernando Got 4 Wickets for only 7 runs within his 3 overs and Wasantha Kapila grabbed 2 Crucial Wickets which brought us the Win! 😍

While Bowling first in the Second match, Wasantha Kapila was again in action by taking 3 wickets just for 7 runs within his 3 overs! 😍

While Batting second in the Second match, The opening pair got to a brilliant start where Danushka Kariyawasam scored 27 runs from just 14 balls and Duminda Ferdinandis scored 44 runs from just 13 balls and in the middle again Wasantha Kapila smashed 39 runs from just 18 balls which brought us the Win! 😍

Afterall it was a good allround effort and performance from everyone! 😍

To whom it may Concern,

I am Praneeth from AWCC which is a division 03 Hardball club registered in Colombo District Cricket Association under Sri Lanka Cricket.

But in this rainy season it is hard to play outside.

Therefore We have organized a softball indoor cricket tournament on september 01st from 9am to 1pm at U-Pro idoor nets, Thalawathugoda.

It is a six a side tournament and 72 Hard ball players in sri lanka from 12 teams will participate for this one day event.

We seek for sponserships as quick as possible because only one week is left. It can be a small contribution or any support you can kindly offer.
