*Grading and Safety:* Outlined the progression from 10th Kyu (Beginner) through to Dan grades, while emphasizing the strict World Karate Federation (WKF) rules and the protective gear—such as mitts, shin pads, foot protectors, chest protectors, and face masks—required to ensure student safety.
*Future Pathways:* Parents and students were introduced to long-term opportunities in the sport, including the pathways to becoming certified instructors or Asian Karatedo Federation (AKF) Referees and Judges.
*Global Affiliations:* The branch's strong local and international network was highlighted, showcasing affiliations with the WKF, AKF, South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF), and the Sri Lanka Karatedo Federation (SLKF).
Following today's successful orientation, regular Karate classes will officially commence on the *5th of September. The classes will be conducted by *Shihan M.C.M. Nazar every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM at YMMA Maligawatta*. Karate training offers significant developmental benefits for children and young adults, as it improves fitness, builds discipline, boosts confidence, teaches self-defence, and enhances focus and concentration.
