"Hara Women" is a commission created by the women members of the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) for themselves.
The main objectives are to increase the number of women practicing karate by uniting all women in the International Traditional Karate Federation and encouraging them to further participate in the sport.

The 3 main points underpinning this are

1. Women's Empowerment

2. Sociality

3. Equality

To this end, the International Traditional Karate Federation acts as a commission, following Sustainable Development Goal No. 5 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, and its aim is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Hara Women has been created to open up and affirm more space for women in karate.
In the coming years, our Sri Lankan Traditional Karate The Federation (SLTKF) has planned to implement special programs in collaboration with the International Traditional Karate Federation and its international athletes to introduce women in our country to the traditional sport of karate in Sri Lanka from a young age and take them to the international stage.
