Ride SriLankan just got a serious upgrade 🏝️

We've got some exciting news for anyone joining us on Ride SriLankan 2027 — and if you haven't signed up yet, this might just tip the balance.

We've added 2 nights at the Shangri-La Hambantota to the itinerary, checking in on day 3 of the event. After your first day of coastal riding, you'll roll straight into a proper 5-star beachfront resort on Sri Lanka's southern coast — and honestly, it's hard to think of a better way to recharge before heading back out for more.

The Shangri-La sits across 58 hectares right on the shores of the Indian Ocean, and there's genuinely more to do here than you'll have time for:

🏌️ An 18-hole championship golf course, with its own clubhouse bar for a post-round drink
🏊 Three outdoor pools, including options for a quieter soak away from the crowds
🧘 The Chi Ayurveda Spa, for a proper deep-tissue reset after the riding
🍽️ Two restaurants covering everything from Sri Lankan specialities to more familiar international dishes

We know most people don't associate a gravel biking trip with 5-star luxury — but that's exactly the balance we're going for with Ride SriLankan 2027. Hard riding by day, real recovery by night, and on day 4 you'll head out on a loop around the Hambantota area before returning to the Shangri-La for a second night of 5-star comfort.

Worth mentioning too: Ride SriLankan is proudly hosted in partnership with SriLankan Airlines, so from the moment you land to the moment you're on that pool deck in Hambantota, you're in good hands the whole way through.
