“Warriors – 2015” Invitational University Taekwondo Team Championship"

Invitational University Team Championship “Warriors-2015” to promote the Taekwondo culture among the university sportsmen and sportswomen was held on 09th & 10th June 2015 at the gymnasium of the University of Kelaniya for the second consecutive year. Sports Advisory Board, Department of Physical Education and the Taekwondo Team of the University was organized this event in a grand scale. About 200 players participated for the tournament. The chief guest of this event was Vice Chancellor of University of Kelaniya. And the Guest of Honor of this event was Mr.Harshana Rajakaruna the President of Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation. And the Director of Extra Curricular Activity, Chairman of Sports Advisory Board and the Acting Director, Department of Physical Education were also participated on this occasion.

Taekwondo Team of University of Kelaniya organized "Warriors-2014" as the first taekwondo tag tournament which was an immeasurable turning point in the taekwondo history in Sri Lanka."Warriors-2015" will be held on 10th June 2015 for the second consecutive year to give opportunity to all most all the players in all the Universities around Sri Lanka, as a great
challenge. As the university taekwondo team we believe that we are potential enough to achieve
this event successfully.
