WHAT IS NIRVANA?
Nirvana actually has a very simple meaning, but unfortunately, most people who think they know what Nirvana is are probably wrong.
You might be disappointed if you were hoping that Nirvana means a heavenly abode where you get to eat all the chocolate ice cream you want while listening to your favorite music on your i Thing.
Sorry, It ain't like that.
Nirvana literally means "cool" or "to extinguish", and it is a state where suffering has been "extinguished." Or said another way, the flames of desire have been cooled. In short, it is a state of the ultimate freedom, freedom from sorrow, but also freedom from happiness.
You might find it funny to know that the literal translation of Nirvana, syllable for syllable, means "don't get blown away". Well, that's only partially true; in ancient Sanskrit, the three syllables, nir var na, actually had multiple meanings themselves, so when you combine them, they could be translated different ways, such as "To be free from entangled roots," or "To escape from the woven web."
But no matter which translation you pick, it is understood that to be in a state of Nirvana means to be free from those bonds that enslave us; It is a state of profound peace and great wisdom. It is the ultimate happiness that comes when we are liberated from finding pain or pleasure in impermanent, transitory, objects.
Nirvana should not be thought of as a place. Instead, it is a state of consciousness which is above all others. It is the opposite of ignorance, greed, hatred and the defilements which cloud our minds and make us do stupid things.
The Buddha taught that Nirvana was the ultimate goal of humans, and urged his followers to strive toward it. From the Dhammapada, verse 21, the Buddha is quoted as saying;
"Earnestness is the path of immortality, thoughtlessness the path of death. Those who are in earnest do not die, those who are thoughtless are as if dead already."
In verse 75 in the Dhammapada, the Buddha is quoted as saying;
"One is the road that leads to wealth, another the road that leads to Nirvana. If the Bhikshu, the disciple of Buddha, has learned this, he will not yearn for honor, he will strive for separation from the world."

Does God exist? Here are six straightforward reasons to believe that God is really there.
Just once wouldn't you love for someone to simply show you the evidence for God's existence? No arm-twisting. No statements of, "You just have to believe." Well, here is an attempt to candidly offer some of the reasons which suggest that God exists.
But first consider this. When it comes to the possibility of God's existence, the Bible says that there are people who have seen sufficient evidence, but they have suppressed the truth about God.1 On the other hand, for those who want to know God if he is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you."2 Before you look at the facts surrounding his existence, ask yourself, If God does exist, would I want to know him? Here then, are some reasons to consider...
1. The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.
2. Is God real? The universe had a start - what caused it?
3. Evidence for God: The universe operates by uniform laws of nature. Why does it?
4. A Divine Programmer: The DNA code informs, programs a cell's behavior.
5. We know God exists because he pursues us. He is constantly initiating and seeking for us to come to him.
6. Unlike any other revelation of God, Jesus Christ is the clearest, most specific proof of God revealing himself to us.

How to make Padmasana
Padmasana
Padma means Lotus. When the Asana is demonstrated, it resembles the appearance of a
lotus. Hence the name padmasana.

TECHNIQUE:
1. Sit on the ground by spreading the legs forward.
2. Then place the right foot on the left thigh and the left foot on the right thigh.
3. The both heels should touch the stomach near the navel.
4. Place the left hand over the left knee and then place the
right hand over the right the knee.
5. The palm should face upwards and the index finger should touch the thumb.(Chin Mudra)
6. From the base to the neck the spine should remain erect.
7. Keep the eyes closed and relax the mind.
Timings:
Keep the position as long as you can do it with comfortable.
Breathing:
Breathing should be normal in the final position.
Benefits:
This is the best asana for practicing Pranayama, Japa and Dhyana. Purifies and tones
Coccyx and sacral bones through larger blood supply to pelvic region. Since the blood is made to circulate in the lumbar region and the abdomen, the spine and the abdominal organs are toned.
Note:
People who seldom sit on the floor will not have flexible knees. In the beginning they
will feel excruciating pain around the knees. By perseverance and continued practice the pain will gradually subside and they can then stay in the pose comfortably for a longer time.
Changing the legs position by placing the left foot over the right thigh and the right foot
over the left thigh will helps the legs evenly.

How to make Uthitha Padmasana

Uthitha Padmasana
In sanskrit uthitha means “Raised”. This asana is the raised position of padmasana. Hence
the name.
TECHNIQUE:
1. Sit in Padmasana
2. Keep your palms on the floor by your sides.
3. Then slowly raise the body.
4. There should be no jerking.
5. The body should not be trembling.
Breathing:
Breathing should be normal in the final position. In the initial stage the practitioner may
automatically hold the breath without their knowledge. After relaxing this asana two times
deep breathing can be taken.
Timings:
This asana can be done for 10 to 20 seconds according to the practitioner’s capacity and
their hand’s strength. Do this asana for a couple of times.
Benefits:
1. This asana strengthens the wrists, hands and abdominal walls.
2. Improve the digestion power and eliminates the gas trouble.
3. Reduces the belly.
