The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) commends the Indian government for prioritizing sports in its decision-making. 👏
Recently, the Sports Authority of India authorized the deployment of two highly skilled coaches to train Tanzanian Kabaddi players, with the aim of improving their techniques and skills.
The International Kabaddi Federation will be supporting Tanzania in their efforts to boost the popularity of kabaddi within the region.

Some of the 📸 from the meeting with the chairman of the National Sports Council, former MP and cricketer - Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga, its members, the President and Secretary General of the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation.
During the meeting which was held at the National Sports Council of Sri Lanka, the attendees discussed about the journey so far in the face of the economic and social challenges caused by Easter as well as covered the sports plan for 2023.
The five-year plan of the National and International Kabaddi Federation was also presented.

In a recent interview with a Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games journalist, Mr. Vinod Tiwari - President of IKF shared his insights about Kabaddi's future at the Asian Games and how it has had a long history and remarkable appearance in modern sports.
The president is hopeful that Kabaddi will shine at the upcoming Asian Games taking place in Hangzhou next year.

Dr. Abbas Avarseji, President of Iran Kabaddi federation and Acting President Of Asian Kabaddi Federation, met with Dr. Lashgari, Director-General of Physical Education, unit of Iran Universities.
They officially agreed upon holding National Universities Kabaddi Championship next year.
In addition to that, coaching and referee courses for students and adding kabaddi as a major in sport colleges was also a part of the agreement.
Going ahead, physical education students can choose the field of kabaddi as a subject in universities.
The goal is to keep expanding kabaddi in Iran and Asia.

At the Iran NOC recently, Dr. Abbas Avarseji, Acting President of the Asian Kabaddi Federation met with Mr. Husain Al-Musallam, OCA Director-General and Mr. Haider Farman, Director of Sports at the OCA where it was announced that the Asian Games 2022 will be held in Hangzhou, China next year and that the Asian Olympic Council is in full support of the Asian Kabaddi Confederation.
