While we were eager to gather, we feel a responsibility to prioritize solidarity over celebration. Engaging in unnecessary festivities while so many are suffering does not reflect the values we hold as a community. Our school has always taught us to stand for what is right, and right now, that means standing in quiet support of those affected by these events.
