Two of our Black Belters were awarded with the ITF Black Belt Certificates yesterday at the Sri Lanka Taekwon-Do Association HQ dojang⛩️
The certificates arrived from International Taekwon-Do Federation and was awarded by Master Cyril Antony, President of SLTA.

The Sri Lanka Taekwon-Do Association proudly participated in the Perak International Taekwon-Do Championship 2026, held from 23rd to 26th July 2026 at ILKKM Sultan Azlan Shah, Tanjung Rambutan, Perak, Malaysia. The championship provided an excellent opportunity for our athletes to compete at an international level, gain valuable experience, and represent Sri Lanka with pride and professionalism alongside 14 nations.

Sri Lanka concluded the championship in 9th place on the overall medal table, securing a total of four medals: 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze.

Umpires:
In addition to serving as the Team Manager and one of the team's Coaches, Sabum Dr. Uditha Cyril Antony (IV Dan) officiated throughout all three competition days in the roles of Center Referee, Umpire and Ring Master / Jury President in Ring 2, Ring 7 and Ring 1. In recognition of his competence and officiating standards, he was selected to be a Centre Referee for the Prime League Final Matches.

In addition to competing as an athlete and serving as one of the team's coaches, Ms. Gayathree Nayanajeehwi (III Dan) served as an Umpire on 24th and 25th July 2026, contributing to the successful conduct of the competition in Ring 3 and Ring 8.
