The second league fixtures are out for the weekend.

As usual,there are exciting fixtures to watch out for.

Title contender, Pags FC will look to continue their impressive start to the season,as they host fifth place Life FC on today,at the Tusa Field.This game promises to be an interesting one,as Life FC will look to upset Pags FC.
So far in the league,Pags FC has been in good goal scoring form.They have scored twelve goals in just six games,and have conceded just three goals in as many games.Meanwhile,Life FC has also been clinical infront of goal,with an impressive eleven goals scored in six league games,but have been really sloppy at the back, conceding a goal every game on the ratio.They have let in six goals so far this season.
The two teams remain undefeated so far in the league,and will be looking to keep hold of said record.

Margibi FC will host Black Man Warrior at the famous Nancy Doe Stadium.Margibi FC is seated seventh place on the league table,with two wins,three draws and a lost from six games so far.They are just a point above eight and ninth place Paynesville FC & Nimba FC,but two points above ten place Tewor FC.A slip for Margibi FC will definitely see them dropped down the pecking order.
Life for Black Man Warriors has been miserable so far in the league.They sit second bottom in the league,and is without a win this season.They're only above Sinoe NPA Anchors with a point,and thrill Junior Professional by a point also .As these three makes up the relegation zone.Black Man Warriors have conceded a whooping 14 goals in just six games played.That record is only better by Angel FC seventeen (17) goals conceded.They have the third worst goal difference ratio in the league.Also, they've been able to score five goals in the league so far this season,only better than fellow relegation occupants (Junior Professional and Sinoe NPA Anchors).
They'll be looking for their first win of the league season away from home,while Life FC will be looking to compile more misery on them.
Another fascinating match to follow.

NPA Anchor's entertains Ganta Almighty at the Examination Hall (ATS) of Liberia's elite competitions.
With four wins,a draw and a defeat in six outings for NPA Anchor's, they'll be craving for a home win against fairly exposed Ganta Almighty.NPA has one of the selfish defences in the league.They have let in three goals so far in the league,and have put the ball at the back of the net ten times this season . Making them being one of the two teams with the best defensive record this season.
As Ganta Almighty has been finding it so hard to stop the ball from going through their goal,this remains a great test for them.
Unlike NPA Anchor's,Ganta Almighty has let in ten goals,while conceding ten goals in the process.
This game looks to pull lots of excitement,as 4th place NPA Anchor's will be looking to close the gap between they and the top teams.
Ganta Almighty will also be looking to pull the strings ,as they look to move four places up the table with a win that will see them leap from eleventh place to seventh place.

The battle of the bottom teams.As, twelve place Samira FC battles thirteen place Angels FC.
Going into this encounter,it is prudent to note that Angels FC has the most romantic and tasteful defense in the league so far.They have allowed in a staggering 17 goals.The highest so far in the league.Their explosive counter attacking style have left them vulnerable at the back,creating spaces for opponents to attack.This has cost them a lot this season.
They have been in rich vein of form infront of goal, scoring ten goals in just six matches.But their dismal performance at the back have left them with just a win from six matches.They have also lost the most matches this season, loosing five of their six games.
Henceforth,they will be looking to address that situation against fellow relegation threatened Samira FC.
Samira FC is two points above the relegation zone, and has won just a single game this season.Things aren't shaping well for them so far,and they'll use this test to further strengthen their drive for a top half finish.They have let in eleven goals this season,while scoring eight goals,from two draws ,three defeats and a win so far this season.

Watch out for more goals in this match.

Mighty Toni FC is racking points game in game out.Their commanding display in games so far have placed them in firm standing.The league leader is showing no sign of slowing down,as they get prepare to play Nimba FC in the league on today.Toni FC have scored the highest amount of goals this season, punching in 16 goals in just six games.They top the table with two goals difference.
On the other hand,nine place Nimba FC has the most equivalent record in the league.They have played six games,and have won two,drew two and lost two.Also, they've conceded 10 goals and have scored 10 goals . Leaving them with a zero goal difference.With a balance performance so far,we can expect Nimba FC to pose a serious threat to league leader Tony FC title charge.
Another fabulous fixture.

Mid table club Paynesville FC goes neck to neck with Tewor FC on today.Paynesville FC has drew the most amount of games this season.Drawing five games, and wining the last one.They are known as the drew specialist,as they've been unlucky to go away with the full three points on many occasions.
Paynesville FC remains one of the four undefeated clubs in the league so far.As they have gotten eight points out of eighteen available points.And they sit eight place on the table tie on points with Nimba FC whose in nine place.
Meanwhile,Tewor FC sits 10th place on the table,with one point less than Paynesville FC who is at 8th place.

Even though Egypt won the first half , courtesy of a goal through a thunderous strike from outside the eighteen yard box,but Liberia is still putting in stellar performances .

From all indications,I can safely say that Liberia played some beautiful football in the first thirty-five minutes,but begin so sluggish in the last fifteenth minutes.

Their ball connections were top notch, they were compact defensively in the first thirty-five minutes,but isn't putting too much offensively.

The boys are playing their guts out,and this is an upgrade on their last performance.

But they have to be very careful with Egypt counter attacking pace.We won't be spare more than once.

Detailing the stats behind Lonestar last twelve games

Our red ,white and blue boys will be taking on Egypt today in a friendly encounter.

I thought it wise enough to share with you stats on how our lonestar has faired in their last twelve international matches; ranging from International friendly matches, to Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers, Africa Nations Championship Qualifications and World Cup Qualifications.

In the last twelve games she has played,the Lonestar of Liberia won=2,drew=1 and lost=9.

This record came from four different categories, namely: International friendly, Africa Cup of Nations -Qualification, African Nations Championship Qualifications and World Cup Qualifications.

The two times Liberia national team tasted victory was November 16, of last year and July 30 of this year .And the last time was a game against Senegal,that had the gaffer Ansu Kieta in the dugout.That game was played in Dakar,on the 30th of July this year..The other one was a World Cup Qualifications match against Central African Republic.A game that ended with a two goal margin(3-1) victory for the lonestar.

In our last four friendly matches,Liberia have managed to secure just a point from twelve points available.And that point came from our just ended friendly match against Niger ,with that game ending in a goalless draw .The remaining three matches ended with a 2-1 victory for Burundi,a 1-0 victory for Sierra Leone and a 4-0 victory for Benin.

Going to the Africa Cup of Nations -Qualification, Liberia played just a game against Morocco.And that game ended with a defeat for the red , white and blue boys. They were defeated two goals to nail.

Meanwhile,we played five(5) games in pursuit of World Cup Qualifications .And Liberia tasted defeat in four of those five matches.Their lone win coming against The Central African Republic.

They were defeated by Nigeria two goals to zero,and was also whipped by Cape Verde back-to-back, with both games ending 2-1 and 1-0 respectively.

The last game was against Egypt,and that game was played last year October 30.Egypt came out as the victor ,and Liberia the victim as usual.That game ended two goals to zero for the Pharaohs.

In the African Nations Championship Qualifications, Liberia played two matches,and was defeated by Senegal in the first leg,but bounce to winning ways in the second leg with a 2-1 scoreline.The first leg ended 3-0 in favor of Senegal.Giving them a 50-50 winning record in this league.

In the twelve games played,the Lonestar of Liberia managed to score five(7) goals,and conceded a whooping seventeen (19) goals.
Based upon the stats, Liberia have a 16.6% game winning ratio after every 12 matches.In every 90 minutes, Liberia average a 0.58 goal scored per game.And also have an average of 1.9 goals conceded every game.

This simply shows that Lonestar score a goal after every two games,and concede approximately two goals every game . With every facets of the pitch being unproductive.

The biggest question is,'Can Lonestar find a way past Egypt on today '?

Repealing the damage; 'IE takes to the practice pitch to apply more work.'

After a very poor/dismal start of life in the Orange first division league, Liberia sunshine boys (Invincible Eleven) takes to the practice pitch to apply more work in other to change their standing in the league.

This season haven't started well for Liberia historic club.They have had mixed run of results this season.

With their biggest rival Mighty Barrolle pulling the strings early in the league,it has piled pressure on the current management of IE to deliver the goods .

As their talisman man Sidiki Kromah is on international duty,it has even been of a big blow to the team late bad run of games.

Will the sunshine boys ever get to their best ?
Or,can we safely say that IE best days are in the past ?

This story stirred my spirits.

INSPIRATIONAL from former Cameroon international Eyong Enoh:

"In January 2006,I travelled to North Cyprus for trials with a 1st Divison club.At this time I was playing 1st division in Cameroon with Mount Cameroon and the Cameroon U20 National Team.

I had a 10 days trial with this team and i was deemed not good enough,my agent Divine took me to a 2nd Division Club and they too didn't accept me.Most of the players I travelled with had already signed with their respective clubs and I was still in limbo.

My agent decided we give another try with a 3rd division team which also said I wasn't good enough.He felt discouraged and confused cause he counted on me as his best bet amongst all the other good players he came with.I consoled him that,he shouldn't worry,there is definitely a team for me.

Two days later he got a call from a 1st Division club that needed a midfielder,he asked reluctantly if I could come train with them,and they said yes.I arrived and had my first training with the team and the coach said he liked me and would like to have me in his team.You can imagine the relief my agent and I had.

The first hurdle to get a club was done,what is going to happen next? I went for medicals and the results according to the doctor showed that I had a heart problem.We moved to three other locations to validate the results.

If you are still reading it means you are eager to know how this ends.How it end's is that,my medical report was duely verified allowing me to play.The team went on to be Champions that season and I was voted the best player of the league that season.

Things to keep in Mind:

● On your journey of success,rejection is inevitable.
● It's not what happens to you that matters,it's what you do when those things happen.

It has ended in a goalless draw between Liberia and Niger.

Very poor footballing from Liberia in the second period.
This team got so many things to work on.

The disconnection was vivid for all to see.Poor ball connection,poor game plan and uncompetitive players with low technical ability.

Liberia needs to do more!The national team is nowhere near it's shape.
