As we geared towards our prestigious NCC 2025, please take note of your registration fees:

* Classical (open) - $25.0
* Classical (women) - $10.0
* Rapid - $10.0
* Blitz - $10.0
* Online - $25.0
* Team tournament - $25.0
* ⁠Cadet - free (for CIE program students and school-going children)

Five (5) slots for each category (classical: open and women) for seats at the Olympiad 2026. Narrow is the way to the home of the ancient Islamic civilization. Let’s come prepared and ready to represent your country.

An amazing evening!

We were honored to attend a screening of the film "the Queen of Katwe" at the Liberia Learning Center in Paynesville.

As a side attraction, former Women National Champion, Abigail Karyah, hosted a teaching session for those interested in learning to play the game of chess.

Enrichment Chess Vacation Program 2025

The Liberia Chess Federation (LCF) is pleased to announce the 2025 VACATION CHESS SCHOOL program for ABSOLUTE BEGINNER and ADVANCE level players, beginning Friday, July 4 and climaxing Friday, August 29, 2025 at her Headquarters on 9th Street, Sinkor.

The program is primarily for JUNIORS (20yrs and Below), and emphasizes character development and Creative & Strategic Thinking.

Program Info:

Duration: 2 months (July 4 - August 29)
Session: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Time: 12:00 noon (participants are expected to arrive or be dropped off by 10:00 AM for warm-ups and mini games with friends before the commencement of lessons.)

Registration: $ 30 ( package includes a complementary chess set, lessons, etc.)
Monthly fees: $15 per month for 2-month period

Registration is in progress at the LCF office.

The Liberia Chess Federation (LCF) is pleased to present for your viewing pleasure and for the promotion of women chess in Liberia, an exciting match between current women's chess champion, Georgina Sackie, who is also Liberia's Junior Chess Champion, and former women's champ Abigail Karyah who is the current Youth Chess Champion.

These two teammates from Liberia's 2024 World Chess Olympiad team are playing 8 classical chess games to determine Liberia's Women's Chess Champion (2024) who will reign for the rest of 2025.This match is a clash of styles.

Georgina is a fierce and fearless attacker with natural eyes for tactics while Abigail is a defensive and positional chess player with a predilection for strategy. They are both candidates for the Women FIDE Master title based on their performances at the Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary last year.Please don't miss this nervy end to Liberia's 2024 Chess Championships.
