Liberia National Third Division Playoff Returns This Weekend in Grand Gedeh County.
The excitement is building as the Liberia National Third Division Playoff returns to action this weekend in Grand Gedeh County. A total of eight third division teams from across Liberia are gearing up for a fierce contest as they battle for a coveted spot in the LFA Second Division League.
These ambitious teams are almost in the final stages of preparation and are expected to begin arriving in Zwedru City before the weekend, where all playoff matches will take place at the historic Albert T. White Sports Stadium.
Among the participating clubs, Susa FC, one of the team representing Margibi County, has already begun making headlines ahead of the tournament. In a move that reflects strong leadership and concern for player welfare, the club’s CEO, Tonny Walker, on Tuesday morning, provided travel allowances to all players.
According to CEO Walker, this gesture is meant to motivate the players and offer them financial support as they make the journey to Zwedru. He also noted that the funds would enable players to reach out to their families and maintain morale ahead of the competition.
Susa FC is expected to travel to Grand Gedeh County today, June 17, with early preparations scheduled to begin immediately upon arrival. The team’s first match is slated for Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at the Albert T. White Sports Stadium.
CEO Walker emphasized that more support awaits the players, but such efforts will be performance-driven throughout the competition. “We believe in our team, and we are ready to give them the motivation they need to shine,” he said.
As the tournament draws near, anticipation is mounting. Football fans across Liberia are eager to witness which teams will rise to the occasion and secure promotion to the LFA Second Division.

Miss Sharon T. Sims Uplifts Margibi Kickball With Surprise Support
In a heartwarming display of dedication and generosity, Miss Sharon T. Sims, the Margibi County Youth Chairlady and former kickball player, continues to exemplify what it means to give back to one's roots. Known for her consistent support toward grassroots sports and humanitarian efforts, Miss Sims made a surprise appearance on May 8, 2025, at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex, where she caught one of Margibi County's First Division kickball teams, Destiny Kickball Club, in action.
With Destiny Kickball Club gearing up for a pivotal away fixture in Grand Bassa County on May 9, Miss Sims offered practical assistance by donating five gallons of gasoline in cash value to help with transportation logistics. Her timely gesture, though modest, meant a great deal to the team, reaffirming the importance of community solidarity in sports development.
During her visit, Miss Sims took a moment to encourage the players, urging them to put forth their best efforts. “Play with unity, discipline, and pride,” she said, “and let’s keep putting Margibi on the map in the world of Liberian kickball.”
Her presence and words of encouragement came as a moral booster to the young women, many of whom look up to her not only as a leader but also as someone who understands their journey—having played kickball for Margibi, Nimba, and River Cess counties herself.
Currently engaged in several humanitarian initiatives both within and outside Margibi, Miss Sims continues to build a legacy that bridges sports, youth empowerment, and service to community.
Destiny Girl's Kickball Club expressed deep appreciation for the support and vowed to play their hearts out in their upcoming match.
