Stop blaming the referee. Stop blaming the pitch, the weather, or the kickoff time.

You can’t coach chaos — but you can coach principles.

Football is full of variables you cannot control:
1. Referee mistakes
2. Poor pitch conditions
3. Tough weather
4. Last-minute goals

If you let these things dictate your mindset, you’ll lose focus fast.

Great coaches stay grounded.
They focus on what can be controlled:
a. Team defensive habits
b. Training intensity
c. Behaviours you reward

That’s your power.

No referee, no muddy field, no bad luck can stop your team from living those principles.

You don't choose a school just for recess. You choose it for learning.

Why should football be a difference?

From The CAF Instructor Desk:

In football, motivation can be broadly categorized into two main types:

1. Intrinsic Motivation

This is internal motivation — driven by personal satisfaction, passion, or love for the game. Players with intrinsic motivation participate in football because they enjoy it, want to improve, or feel a sense of pride and purpose.

✅ Examples:

Love for the sport

Desire to improve skills

Personal goals (e.g., becoming the best version of oneself)

Enjoyment of teamwork and competition

2. Extrinsic Motivation

This is external motivation — influenced by rewards or recognition from others. Players are motivated by tangible outcomes like money, trophies, praise, or fear of punishment.

✅ Examples:

Winning a title or medal

Earning a salary or bonus

Gaining fame or social status

Avoiding being benched or released

💡 Key Insight: While both types are important, intrinsic motivation tends to result in more sustainable long-term performance, whereas extrinsic motivation can boost short-term focus and competitiveness. Top players often combine both.

Fans are the heart of a football club year-round. During the off-season and pre-season, their passion, support, and constructive engagement help maintain a positive atmosphere, motivate players and staff, and set the tone for a successful upcoming season.

To Our Amazing Parents of LEAD MFA.
Let’s keep football simple—and focused on true development.

Your child doesn’t need to learn 50 flashy tricks.
What they really need to grow in the game is:

✅ Passing & Receiving
✅ Turning away from pressure
✅ Keeping the ball under control
✅ Making smart decisions – when, where, and how to play

That’s the foundation. That’s football.

Support them. Encourage them. Let them enjoy the journey.

If you’re still teaching new tactics before kickoff, you’ve already lost.

From The CAF Instructor Desk: Football Education:

The best players don’t just run—they read the game.

They don’t just play—they think.
Because real football education isn’t just about skills…

It’s about understanding.
We turn talent into intelligence. ⚽
