MJUS Youth Basketball Program. Update on the Carlos and Keko Smith Foundation Community Youth Basketball Tournament Currently Taking Place in Buchanan Grand Bassa.

The tournament continues this weekend ( Saturday and Sunday). There will be two games every day. Come and support your community youth teams.

All games will take place at the Bassa High School Campus Basketball Court. Games time is 2:30pm

Update from Mama Jama Ultimate Sports Youth Basketball Program.
We are final taking youth basketball program to another level. This time we are in Buchanan Grand Bassa County

Over the months we have been working with the Carlos and Keko Smith Foundation. All is now set for the first youth basketball tournament.

The Carlos and Keko Smith Foundation in collaboration with Mama Jama Ultimate Sports Youth Basketball Program and the Buchanan YMCA will host an annual community youth basketball tournament.

The objective of this tournament is to re-awaken the spirit of youth basketball in Buchanan Grand Bassa County, provide recreation activities for the young people while on their vacation, help keep them off the streets and avoid them from going into drugs affected communities.

The tournament will kickoff on Friday July 24th and will end on Saturday August 15th 2026. There are five community youth teams participating in this year'stournament. 1. BuckCity, 2. Loopers, 3. Vission Kings, , 4. ONE BASSA, 5. Super Boys.

The winner will walk away with the Jonathan Nester Harvey Sr Championship Trophy. Other awards to be given out will be highest Scores, MVP, highest Assist, hghest Block Shots, Best Coach and highest Rebound.

Mama Jama Ultimate Sports Youth Basketball Program update.
Mama Jama Ultimate Sports and the Smith Foundation are currently working along with the Buchanan Ymca in hosting annual youth basketball program. Currently we are in the process of hosting Buchanan Grand Bassa County very first youth basketball tournament. This tournament is being played in honor of Mr. Robert Flemister ( Bob Flemister).

Mr. Flemister is a pioneer of youth basketball in liberia. He was one of the founding member of the liberian Basketball Association. He was also the first national team basketball head coach. Mr. Flemister coached the national team for many years before it was passed down to others like the late Jame Minor, the late Christian King and others.

The tournament will be play on the Bassa High School Campus. This tournament is expected to feature 5 to 6 youth basketball team in and around Buchanan city. The Buchanan YMCA and the local youth basketball academy will coordinate with mama Jama Ultimate Sports program to run the tournament.

Registration for every team is free of charge. A beautiful trophy in honor of Mr. Flemister will be given to the championship team. Other awards will be presented to individuals and medals to the top three teams.

Update on The Mama Jama Ultimate Sports Youth Basketball Program.
We completed the annual Reginald Reeves and Konnah Dennis Boys and Girls Tournament. We were very successful in implementing the tournament.

Currently we are working on hosting the first inter high school basketball tournament in Harper Maryland County. This tournament is in collaboration with Black Panthers Basketball Academy, Friends and Supporters of Liberian Basketball, Mama Jama Ultimate Sports and Harper Legend old timers basketball club. The tournament will kickoff next month. 8 high schools are expected to participate.

Also the 2026 Mama Jama Ultimate Sports Charles Wordsworth youth basketball tournament in Caldwell community will kickoff early next month. Six youth teams within the Caldwell community are expected to participate in this year's tournament.

Brewerville Exodus Gant Annual Youth Basketball Tournament is also expected to kickoff next month. Five Youth teams within Brewerville will be participating all games will be played at the Paul Collins yard Basketball Court.

Meanwhile, registration for the Jeremiah Bing Sr Bushrod Bulls Youth Basketball Tournament in Logan Town and the Naplah E Naplah Youth Basketball Tournament in New Kru Town will also kickoff next month. For Logan Town, please contact Terry Anderson and New kru Town contact Raphael Quayee. Registration fee per player as follows

Ages for our senior boys program is 13 to 17 going 18 years old.

Ages expected for our Jr boys is 9 years old to 13 years.

Good day to all. We want to extend our thanks and appreciation to all teams. The following boys teams are qualified for the semi finals of the Reginald Reeves tournament.

Saturday is the semi final of the tournament. The girls table is the top two teams on the table will play for the championship trophy while the last two teams will play for the 3rd place medals.

Please not that all awards will be given out on Sunday right after the game. Moving on, we will have 4 games each day.
