Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah Pledges Support to CHAP “I Love Liberian Rice”
The Community of Hope Agriculture Project (CHAP) proudly announces a major endorsement as Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah has pledged his full support to the “I Love Liberian Rice”
This pledge represents a significant step forward in advancing CHAP’s mission to promote local agricultural production and encourage Liberians to take pride in consuming homegrown products. The “I Love Liberian Rice” initiative continues to serve as a National call to action urging citizens, institutions, and businesses to prioritize locally produced rice.
In his statement of support, Deputy Speaker Fallah emphasized the importance of strengthening Liberia’s agricultural sector as a pathway to economic growth, job creation, and food security. He noted that supporting local farmers is not only a patriotic duty but also a practical solution to reducing the country’s heavy reliance on imported rice.
CHAP has consistently advocated for increased investment in agriculture, awareness creation, and behavioral change among consumers.
With the backing of national leaders, the campaign gains renewed momentum and broader visibility across the country.
The endorsement serves as an inspiration for all Liberians to:
Support local farmers by buying Liberian-grown rice
Promote agricultural sustainability and self-reliance
Encourage policies that strengthen local production.
CHAP believes that collective effort is key to transforming Liberia’s agricultural sector.
With continued support from stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public, CHAP remains committed to building a resilient agricultural sector that benefits all Liberians.
Together, let’s grow what we eat and eat what we grow.

The Community of Hope Agriculture through the Livelihood Innovation Food Security and Entrepreneurship (LIFE) Project, with support from Concern Worldwide and funding from Irish Aid, on May 5, 2026, distributed essential farming tools to progressive farmers in Rivercess County.
The LIFE Project, which is being implemented in nine communities — four in Rivercess County and five in Grand Bassa County — aims to improve rural economic development and strengthen food security in the project counties.
The distribution of farming tools is expected to greatly improve agricultural productivity, reduce the burden of manual labor, and enhance farmers’ ability to cultivate larger areas of land efficiently. The tools will also support safe farming practices, improve crop management, and increase food production, thereby contributing to household income generation and sustainable livelihoods for farming communities.
Items distributed included:
• Garden rakes, Shovels, Cutlasses, Protective suits, Watering cans, Sharpening files, Garden lines, Pingalines, Rain boots, Diggers, Grinding stones, Hand gloves, Garden hoes and Wheelbarrows
The initiative demonstrates the commitment of the CHAP through the LIFE Project and its partners to supporting sustainable agriculture and improving the living conditions of farmers in these areas
