We are deeply saddened to share that our Captain, Varney Sando, has lost his father, Varney Sando Sr., to the cold hands of death at his home in Riverview Community, Virginia, Montserrado County.

According to family sources, he passed away this morning after a prolonged illness.

Please take a moment to reach out to him and offer your condolences. 🙏

Our deepest sympathies once again go to Captain Vasco and the rest of the family.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
To the players, the fans, the supporters, the technical support staff, the administrators, BETTOMAX, NASSCORP, and a few other individuals who supported us privately (name withheld),

The biggest thanks also go to our Brand Ambassador JZyNO for the massive support and for promoting the Watanga FC brand both locally and internationally.

We want to extend a big thank you 🙏 to everyone involved for their relentless efforts, sacrifices, dedication, and commitment in making this dream a reality.

When we lost Nelson Laomie, Daniel Nyemah (Raul), Pewee Zaza Roberts, Hassan Fadiga, Nuch Zohn, and Phillip Tarnue, many believed we were finished.

After the National County Sports Meet, we lost Isiaka Bayo to injury; Teddy Kollie returned with a broken finger; Varney B Varney Jr came back out of form and performance; Darius Garmondeh, our top striker, returned with a knee injury and torn muscle; and Henry Diah (Kaka) was severely injured and has been unable to play since. His knee was badly damaged, which affected him mentally.

We lost two consecutive games to LPRC, drew matches against Wologizi FC and Paynesville FC, and dropped from the top of the league to fourth place.

The team's confidence plummeted and took a 360-degree turn for the worse.

The coach began to panic at the possibility of key players leaving for better opportunities and returning from the County Sports Meet with injuries to core players.

He started to blame the administration, especially me, for the situation.

We recruited Choice Howard, Sampson Gborie, Kpakio Momolu, and Hilary King — all from the County Sports Meet and the third division, with little to no experience in the top league.

Today, we are proud of the resilience and determination shown by the team in overcoming LISCR FC, FC Fassell, and Bea Mountain FC.

The future of the club looks promising; we have some of the brightest young talents in the country, making the years ahead bright.

Please celebrate your club's championship in grand style, knowing that pre-season has just begun.
