Cape Mount Youth Leadership Embarks on Strategic Visit to Kinjor over the weekend.
In a spirited demonstration of unity and purpose, the newly elected youth leadership of Grand Cape Mount County embarked on a landmark visit to Kinjor over the weekend, a vibrant town nestled within the county’s rich landscape. The visit, marked the leadership’s first major meeting since assuming office.
The delegation, composed of the county’s Youth Coordinator and Co-officials and District Youth Chairpersons from various districts across Cape Mount. There visit in Kinjor was to engage directly with young people, understand their aspirations, and collaboratively design programs that reflect the needs and dreams of the county’s youth.
During the visit, the leadership held a series of interactive sessions with local youth groups and intellectual centers. These forums provided a platform for open dialogue on pressing issues such as education, employment and skills development. The leadership promised the gathering that it will, in the coming days establish an enrichment program that it will collaborate with schools administrations across the county to reduce massive failure of Cape Mount students’ in WASSCE.
On the flip side, young people in Kinjor welcomed the leadership with enthusiasm, expressing hope that this new wave of engagement would lead to tangible change. “It’s encouraging to see leaders who want to hear from us directly.” “So, we’re happy and ready to work together.” Said Mambu Zoedua.
In conclusion, the youth coordinator, Mr. Laurenzo Karteh, emphasized his team commitment to inclusive governance, pledging to make regular visits to other towns and villages across Cape Mount. “This is just the beginning, we believe in leadership that listens, learns, and leads with the people, not above them.” Mr. Karteh said.
As the visit concluded, the energy in Kinjor was palpable. With renewed connections and a shared vision, the youth of Cape Mount County are poised to shape a future defined by collaboration, innovation, and hope.
