⚽ FIFA Football for Schools Comes to Mafeteng

Mafeteng is among the districts selected to pilot the FIFA Football for Schools programme, with the district’s pilot phase focusing specifically on girls’ football. 🇱🇸⚽👧

Today marked an important step in bringing the programme closer to schools and young girls in the district. Each participating school received 10 footballs and a complete set of jerseys to support the implementation of the programme.

The initiative will be conducted among schools that are within walking distance of one another, making it easier for learners to participate regularly and strengthening football development within the urban zones.

Among the participating schools are:

🏫 Mafeteng LECSA
🏫 Lerato LECSA
🏫 Matsepe Primary School
🏫 and other schools within the urban zones.

The programme presents a wonderful opportunity to use football as a tool to increase girls’ participation, develop young talent, promote teamwork and create a stronger pathway for girls in football.
