LESOTHO WOMEN FINISH STRONG IN BOTSWANA!

Lesotho ended their BCA Kalahari T20I campaign on a high with a 48-run victory over Zambia

Though the team won 2 out of 7 matches, the tournament showed real growth, resilience, and fighting spirit from our ladies.

Coach Alex Mavhiko had this to say:

Lesotho Women Continue to Grow on International Stage

Lesotho Women’s Cricket Team faced tough matches against Malawi and Brazil, but the journey continues!

Malawi defeated Lesotho by 9 wickets

Brazil claimed a 189-run victory after posting 202/8

Despite the results, there are positives to take “There is growth for the women’s team every time they play. These matches are building experience and confidence,” said LCA Media Liaison Officer, Dr Clifford Molefe.

“There are lessons learned, and the coach will work on them as we prepare for the next competitions.”

Next up: Lesotho takes on Zambia — another chance to improve and shine!

Rising Star Shines, Again for Lesotho!

Despite Lesotho going down by 31 runs to Mozambique (104 all out vs 73 all out) in yesterday’s match, all eyes were once again on the sensational Boitumelo Tlali.

At just 15 years old, Tlali scooped her SECOND Player of the Match award of the tournament — a remarkable achievement that continues to inspire and excite Basotho everywhere.

15-Year-Old Star Steals the Show!

What a performance from Boitumelo Tlali!

In just her second cap for Lesotho, the 15-year-old all-rounder delivered an incredible display to help Lesotho beat Zambia by 8 wickets in the BCA Kalahari Tournament.

LCA UPDATE | BOTSWANA KALAHARI TOURNAMENT CONTINUES

The Lesotho senior women’s national cricket team remains in action at the ongoing Botswana Kalahari Tournament, which got underway on 6 April 2026 in Botswana.

In matches played yesterday (06 April 2026), Lesotho faced a tough outing in both fixtures. In the opening game against Malawi, Lesotho was bowled out for 46 (46/10), with Malawi successfully chasing the target, finishing on 47/1 to secure victory by 9 wickets.

In the second match, Lesotho took on hosts Botswana. Botswana posted a strong total of 190/6, while Lesotho was dismissed for 29 (29/10), handing Botswana a dominant 161 runs win.

The tournament continues today (07 April 2026), with Lesotho set to face Zambia at 14:00.

“These matches are part of an important development process for our women’s national team. While results have not gone our way so far, the exposure and experience gained at this level are invaluable as we continue building a competitive side,” said Dr Clifford Molefe, Media Liaison Officer and National Teams Manager.

The Botswana Kalahari Tournament continues, providing a key platform for growth and international competition for the region’s women’s cricket teams.
