Iš Australijos, kur dalyvavo Pasaulio vaikščiojančio futbolo čempionate, sugrįžo "Sūduvos močiutės", kurių vadovė Ramutė Kartavičienė apsilankiusi MAFF būstinėje, pasidalino įspūdžiais bei įteikė suvenyrus prezidentui Žydrūnui Buzui ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Well, going by all reports so far, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the IWFF World Championship at Brisbane Strikers FC, Perry Park. Over the week, we trained, played friendly games, socialised, and of course competed in a World Cup.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this event one to remember for so many reasons.

Twelve months of planning saw us face challenges in securing all the teams we had hoped to attract from around the world. However, we moved forward and, through many difficult decisions, countless emails, and extensive discussions, we were fortunate to include nations represented by expatriates living here in Australia. This created some wonderful opportunities and lasting memories for those able to represent their countries of birth.

We assembled an outstanding team of volunteers who were terrific throughout the entire event. We simply cannot thank them enough.

Our refereeing team also did a fantastic job, officiating more than 150 matches, including the early friendly games, with professionalism and dedication.

The Australian coaches, who invested endless amounts of time, effort, and commitment throughout the week, deserve enormous recognition and thanks.

To the Organising Committee – wow. Meeting four times a month over the past seven to eight months, they contributed countless hours to every detail of the event. From managing registrations and selecting trophies to organising the presentation dinner at Breakfast Creek Hotel and handling every logistical challenge along the way, they ensured an exceptional experience for more than 500 participants and supporters. It was a significant undertaking, delivered professionally and on time.

No individual names are mentioned because everyone involved knows what was done, how it was delivered, and the role they played in making this one of the biggest and most successful Walking Football events held in Australia over the past eight years.

Well done to each and every person who contributed. This was a true team effort.

We did it — and we did it with style.
