Vėl Berlynas, vėl mes ten. Dėl milijono priežasčių ne taip gausiai, kaip norėtume, tačiau misija įvykdyta: Snails & Cheetahs 2025-ųjų Berlyno maratono nugalėtojų sąraše! Kotryna mūsų šio sezono MVP: du maratonai - vienas per audrą, kitas 28C karštyje - vos per 15 dienų!

Berlin, here we are again. Not as many as we would like, for a million reasons. Nevertheless mission accomplished: Snails & Cheetahs on the list of finishers of the 2025 Berlin Marathon! Kotryna is our MVP of this season: two marathons - one stormy, the other in 28C heat - in just 15 days!

Nors vyrukai Lietuvos greitojo riedėjimo čempionatą praleido, tačiau merginos driokstelėjo: Eglė susirinko trečiasias vietas visos trijose rungtyse, o Kotryna sprinto finale užėmusi antrą vietą, vėliau pasipuošė auksu taškų lenktynėse (kriteriume) ir kliūčių ruože. Bendroje įskaitoje Veronika septinta, Jūratė penkta, Eglė trečia, o Kotryna kelia į viršų 2025-ųjų Greičio Karalienės taurę

The Cup is ours!

Although the men did not take part in the 2025 Lithuanian Speed Skating Championship, the ladies delivered brilliant performance: Eglė was third in all three races, while Kotryna, who became runner-up in the sprint, won gold in the point race (criterium) and agility race time trial later. In the overall standing, Veronika ran seventh, Jūratė was fifth, Eglė secured third place, and Kotryna lifted up the Cup of Queen of Speed 2025.

Tai truputį pasiautėjome kartu su LT STRIDE. Nejau tikėjotės, kad praleisime pirmą tikrai šiltą ir saulėtą šeštadienį kaip nors kitaip, o ne ant riedučių? OK OK, greičiai, o ypač ištvermė po ❄️❄️❄️ dar ne tokie, kokiais galima būtų didžiuotis, bet galimybė vėl "virinti" ilga lygaus asfalto atkarpa yra džiaugsmas pati savaime.

Well, we had a little fun together with LT STRIDE. Did you expect us to spend the first really warm and sunny Saturday in any other way than on the skates? Right, the speed and especially the endurance are still not what we could be proud of, but the chance to 🔥🔥🔥 a long bite of smooth pavement again is a pure joy by itself.

2️⃣4️⃣ valandų ištvermės lenktynės Le Mane visada ypatingos, tai didžiausias riedučių renginys Europoje. O šiemet jos bus ypatingos dar labiau: Prancūzijoje vėl riedės Lietuvos komanda! Snails & Cheetahs nelieka nuošalyje - Vytis LT sudėtyje bus ir mūsų komandos draugas! Ką jie darytų, jei ne mes :D

2️⃣4️⃣ hour endurance race at Le Mans is always special, it's the biggest inline skating event in Europe. This year it will be even more special: the Lithuanian team will take a part there again! Snails & Cheetahs are involved too - Team Vytis LT will also include our teammate! What would they do without us 😃

Le Manas (Prancūzija) žinomas visame pasaulyje savo epine 24 valandų ištvermės lenktynių trasa. Tačiau joje varžosi ne tik automobiliai, kiekvieną vasarą vienai parai legendinis Bugatti žiedas priima nuo kelių iki keliolikos tūkstančių riedutininkų!

Šių lenktynių formatas unikalus. Dalyvių tikslas nuriedėti kaip galima daugiau ratų nuo starto šeštadienį 14:00 iki finišo sekmadienį taip pat 14:00. Šiemet tai bus birželio 29-30 dienos. Išsiskiria jau pats startas: kaip prieš šimtą metų automobilių vairuotojai davus signalą bėgdavo į savo automobilius, sustatytus starto tiesiojoje, taip dabar riedutininkai vienomis kojinėmis bėga apsiauti riedučius ir tik tuomet kerta lenktynių pradžią žyminčią liniją.

Lenktynės vyksta bet kokiu oru ir stabdomos tik ypatingais atvejais. Čia ratus s**a ir greičiausios pasaulyje profesionalios, ir pasiryžusios išbandyti savo jėgas mėgėjų komandos. Tai didžiausias Europoje riedutininkų sambūris – masiškas, kosmopolitiškas ir nepaprastai smagus.

Vytis LT riedutininkai pratęs 2010 metų lietuvių komandos žygį, tad po 14 metų pertraukos Le Mane vėl plėvesuos Lietuvos vėliava.

Тhe management team finally got in touch with the long-awaited news after an unexpectedly long silence: registration for Berlin Inline Marathon 2024 begins right now! Unfortunately, there is a strong suspicion that SCC Events team is still facing tough negotiations with authorities of Berlin, who don't like the idea of inline marathon across the entire city anymore. At least, the management warned that the marathon could take 4 laps of 10 km each + 2 km finish straight, instead of one large lap, which was in fact the gem of Berlin race. Therefore, we are caught between a rock and a hard place: we surely want to support people from SCC Events office, but on other hand, a large number of participants will only convince the authorities to apply this format in the future and that magic event will be lost forever. Share your thoughts what should we do in this situation!

🚨 We are of course aware that you will want to know the exact start time and course for your planning. Unfortunately, we cannot give you any definitive information at this point. We are currently still in contact with the Berlin authorities. We may not be able to avoid changing the route to a circuit that can be raced several times - still in the heart of Berlin with the start and finish at the Brandenburg Gate. The time limit in 2024 will be 2:10 hours. About everything else we will inform you as soon as possible 🚨
