(EN) A week ago, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Kathy Stahlman to our studio for a very special workshop.

For those who may not know, Kathy was a member of the original, legendary FatChanceBellyDance group, led by no other than Carolena Nericcio herself. Today, she is the only dancer from that original group who is still actively teaching and dancing.

Kathy has made it her mission to share the history of the style with those who are curious to learn - not only the FCBD Style as it was danced in those early days, but also its nuances, traditions, behind-the-scenes stories, and all the little details that you simply cannot find in a textbook.

How lucky were we to meet her while she was travelling through Lithuania - and to have the opportunity to learn from her right here in Vilnius!

Kathy's humble and approachable nature didn't make this experience any less special, on the contrary - it felt a little like gathering around a campfire and listening to a wise woman of our tribe share stories from another time. We could have stayed there for hours, asking for just one more story, one more memory, one more insight. Unfortunately, time was limited. 😁
Thank you so much and we hope to see you again soon!
