At the Agora Red Rock Challenge, we give you the chance to experience our X-Duathlon – and the best part?
You decide how you want to take it on!
🏃♂️🚵♀️ Go solo or build your team!
1️⃣ Solo challenge
Take on the full distance yourself:
🚵 21 km MTB
🏃 10 km Trail Run
🚵 19 km MTB

Prefer to share the adventure? Form a team of 2 or 3 people and split the disciplines between you. One does the first MTB section, another takes on the Trail Run, and the third rider finishes with the final MTB section.

After the event, there’s time to sit together, relax, share your experiences, laugh about the day and enjoy the atmosphere with colleagues, friends and fellow participants. 🍻
It’s not just about the result.
It’s about experiencing the challenge together.

Sometimes everything seems to go wrong – or at least not quite the way you planned it. 😅
First, getting to the meeting point was more complicated than expected because of a detour. Then we found out that the restaurant where we had planned to grab something after the ride was closed.
And honestly, with all these obstacles, we thought nobody would even show up…
But despite the detour, a few riders still made it to the start – including some familiar faces. 💪
We started in Esch, in the Ellergronn nature reserve, near the former Cockerill mine. From there, we passed by the Maison Rosati and headed towards Rumelange.
Along the way, we got a glimpse of the Cimalux quarry, before turning towards the Rumelange shooting range and the Mining Museum. We even spotted what looked like a brand-new lift station for the quarry…
Okay, okay… 😜 just kidding! It only looked like one.
The ride then took us through the “Grand Canyon” between Rumelange and the Léihrächen monument, where we eventually decided together that it was time to slowly head back towards Schifflange and Esch.
And then, near the animal shelter in Esch, we encountered two little wild boars! 🐗🐗
Well… not quite. They were just life-size decoys left behind from an archery event. 😂
After the ride, we enjoyed our usual refreshing
b**r from 🍻.
And since our original restaurant was closed, we simply changed plans and headed to the nearby Gambrinus pub, where we ended up having an excellent meal.
Not everything went according to plan.
But the ride, the trails and the company were definitely worth it!

One moment. One smile. One unforgettable experience. ❤️
Sometimes, a picture says more than a thousand words.
This beautiful moment was captured by our photographer just before the start: a couple taking a selfie together, completely unaware that we were capturing their moment from the other side.
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to this wonderful couple for giving us such a warm, genuine and touching picture. ❤️
And in return, this is what we want to give you at the Agora Red Rock Challenge:
🏃♀️ 10, 19 or 27 km – there is a challenge for everyone.
🌲 Unique trails through the stunning landscapes of Southern Luxembourg.
🏭 Discover the fascinating industrial heritage of the Minett region along the way.
For the two longer distances, the adventure starts right in the Minett Park. While running through this historic setting, you can step back in time and even see steam locomotives still in operation.
Because the Agora Red Rock Challenge is not only about kilometres, pace or performance.
It’s about the experience. The landscape. The people. And the memories you take home.
👉 Come and create your own unforgettable moment with us.

Lucky us… the storm waited until the very end! ⛈️🚵♂️
What a day! All day long, the weather forecast kept changing: first the storm was supposed to arrive during the day, then later in the afternoon… and finally, only in the evening.
We even considered cancelling the if the weather turned bad. But when we arrived at the meeting point, a few brave riders showed up – and even some newcomers decided to join us! 💪
So, yesterday’s plan was quickly adapted: after a short warm-up loop, while waiting for a rider who was joining us a little later, we decided not to venture too far away from the cars.
After all, when a storm is forecast, safety comes first. 🌩️ Staying close to the starting point meant we could always cut the ride short and get back to the cars quickly if necessary.
And that’s exactly what we did: a shorter loop, plenty of great trails, and a few stops along the way to discover some remains of an old railway line, part of the region’s fascinating industrial heritage near Hussigny.
And of course, no is complete without a cold afterwork b**r 🍻. We finished the evening on the terrace of 100 Raisons, enjoying some good company and talking about the ride.
And then… the storm finally arrived! ⛈️
Perfect timing. We were already sitting safely on the terrace. 😎
Sometimes the best rides are the ones where you adapt, stay safe and simply enjoy the moment.

– Back on the trails!
Thank God the ongoing heatwave has finally eased off a little, and some much-needed rain has fallen from the sky, making the trails rideable again! 🙌
The grip is noticeably better!
On the other hand, you can already feel that autumn has arrived. The trees are already shedding a surprising amount of leaves — another consequence of the prolonged heatwave. Nature has definitely suffered over the past few weeks. 🍂🌳
But enough about the weather — let’s talk about yesterday’s ride! 🚵♂️
As always, the main focus was on developing skills on the terrain while having a LOT of fun. The team spirit was incredible, with everyone pushing and encouraging each other — or even an e-biker towing a non-e-biker up every uphill! 😂💪
And as always, fun came before performance. No racing, no pressure — just riding together, improving skills and enjoying the trails.
We discovered new features and lines, tackled some classic trails, and had a great time doing it! 🔥
And what better way to finish a than with a tasty Battin afterwork b**r 🍺 followed by a relaxed get-together at Kantine in Dudetown?
Nice trails. Nice people. Good vibes.
That’s what is all about! 🤘
