Run until the 6th of December around Mersch, Schoenfels, Mariendall, Hollenfels & Brouch.

A 23km trailrun, including 2 special Strava segments (technical up & down).

Everybody is welcome to run and discover the area. There’s no fee, and therefore also no markings. You’ll have to download the GPX onto your GPS/watch.
Careful : the segments and some parts are quite technical with lots of roots.

There will be special prizes for :
- Best pictures
- Best time for the 23k (trail deLUXe 2020)
- Best segment time 1 (trail deLUXe 2020_1)
- Best segment time 2 (trail deLUXe 2020_2)

Instead of running , today I achieved a long-planned goal :
The 6 highest peaks ⛰ of Luxembourg.
The 540's, all the ones over 540m:
1. Buergplatz 559m (n°2 Huldange)

3. Réservoir/Eolienne 542m (n°5 Hupperdange)
4. Schwarzenhiwwel 548m (n°4 Marnach)

Even in these days, I try to stay positive and go on with my plan to try a in 2021 for my 40th.
Hopefully our Lake District summer holidays will be possible this year. Some recce would be good.
Steve Chilton book, 'The Round, in Bob Graham's footsteps' was very inspiring. Lots of journeys around the iconic fells well told. All the way through I felt as if I was already running over those mountains

My ultra was rightly cancelled last minute on Friday afternoon, so I decided spontaneously (thanks to a bit of motivation from Annik Jordan Bianchini) late on Friday to get up at 5h and run the Lee Trail Escapardenne Trail in one go, unassisted, from Kautenbach to Ettelbruck (7h30 - 53km - 2500+)

Stunning views, good climbs, birds singing, lovely smell of the pine tree forest but also countless trees on the paths and floodings to make it a real adventure.
It was a great and beautiful experience.
So put on your shoes and get out.

It's time to reload and prepare 2020. Set the foundations to allow your body to sustain the future workouts. This means replacing running by other activities to prevent injuries and help you keep running for a long time.
So try alternative activities : swim, bike, walk, stretch, yoga, strength, ...

I'm often asked how it's possible to run ultras without running more than 2000km a year.
From a certain age, running alone doesn't help you run better😉
